skills are acquired from learning from trainers, buying spellbooks from players or finding them your self from monsters. skills does get upgraded every time your char level up to "next level" but not the "next rank".

probably targetting icons, just like the circle, square, crescent moon, diamond, etc. targetting icons used in raid to show that which target should die first etc.

How do you define "next level" and "next rank"? Can skills improve in both levels and rank? Please elaborate.

you can link items on chat to show people yes and you can click on them to see the info of that item.

you learn new spells every 3 level ups, but the existing spells and abilities gets stronger as you level up.

I.E: sorcs start with fire arrow spell at level 1, as you level up it goes like this. rank 1 fire arrow level 1 at level 1 of your character, level 2 at level 2 etc. then at level 7 or so you can learn rank 2 fire arrow which is level 1. then at level 8 it becomes level 2 and so on.

spells get stronger as you level up everytime, but it doesn't increase much as learning next "rank".

Thank you Iris for taking time and answering our questions, you are the best. I got 1 question about pvp, if you know something about this. Well...does it take any skill to be good in pvp? I mean, for example take 3 gladiators(or whatever class), give them same gear, can 1 win against 2 if he is more skilled? Of course I know this situation is hard to happen, but you can get my point . Or this is another skill spamming, best gear wins mmorpg without any thinking involved whatsoever?

I really don't to know what tell you about this, at least for now. Currently, it's all about rangers exploiting in wolf form, killing people before they even retaliate or spiritmaster just put some dot on target while their pet kills the target. I don't think there are much of skill involved right now. Things will change in CBT3 though, they are going to focus on class balance in for CBT3. I will tell you about PVP then.

Before I ask it, I wanna make it clear that I'm extremely interested in Aion and I'm likely completely converted to it, but a question?

I see a lot of similarities from WoW to Aion. I know they have their huge differences, but some things are comparable.

I also see you are pretty experienced when it comes to WoW (descriptions you make, level of characters mentioned, etc.). So in your opinion, would you ever go back to WoW after playing Aion? Everyone is different and has their unique perspectives, but say when the new expansion for WoW comes out this fall, would you leave Aion for a bit to try it out, or is it now Aion forever?

Just curious as to the longevity of Aion. It's new and shiny and all, and of course it's in beta and in shambles ATM in terms of balance and what not, but what are your feelings about the game, and do you see yourself sticking with it for the next couple years or so?

So I take it from the way you described skills, there are no differences between 2 level 20 sorcerors.

What I mean is that, there is no variation in Skill building.

I'm pretty sure currently in Aion, the ONLY thing that separates two players, are the Stigmas they use and their skill (as in human performance).

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well I was considering the enchantments as part of their gear, but what are these "Titles"? PvP Titles? What kind of stats do they give?

Also, combos can be personalized? Or do you just mean how good the person is at using the combos available?

Can be acquired in several different ways. Like you kill 100 mau, you will get a title 'Mau Killer' which can be displayed next to your name, or leveling up in a profession or from quests, missions.

Irisviel, is it possible to remove those popping out digits which show how much damage you dealt/received? Its too consolish/childish and i just don't like that:/, actually i never liked that and never will.
