some are simliar in looks, but mostly different. well, books usually have mana bonus, magic defence, auto attack damage etc. rare ones got better stats of course as in could have some life bonus along with mana etc. and yes orb is spiritmaster's default weapon.

wow this is great! (my first post on the new curse site
). To be honest me and a friend of mine decided to go back to WoW till Aion comes out and in the process I almost forgot about Aion, but this has re-kindled my intrest. Obviously coming straight from WoW I have some comparison questions. As I have seen on many screenshots there only seems to be one skillbar. Are you constrained to a finite amount of skills on your bar like Guild Wars? Or can the UI enable you to create more slots to almost litteraly fill your screen with skills, like on WoW? or are there too few skills to tell atm because of the level? Also how do you learn new skills? Do they just pop up on your skillbar like on EQII or do you have to go learn them? Finnaly, the quests. How open ended are they? Do they litteraly tell you the exact spot to go, like on Guild Wars? Or do they give a useless description like on Runescape? Or do they give you the general area, like on WoW? That's all, thanks ![]() |

You obviously need to see more, lots of them have 2 or 3 slots on it ![]() There will be 80+ skills / class, so..... Skills can be obtained by quests and from NPCs (cost money). __________________ ![]() |

There is only one thing I wonder about Aion, and I doubt either of these lucky testers can answer it since everyone seems to be pretty low level.
I love PvP, but I am pretty obsessive when it comes to PvE (I am the person that HAS to have THE best gear, even if it's ugly, if it gives me a stat boost, I'm all for it lol). I noticed that Aion has Instances/Raids like WoW, and they put in the Bind on Pickup system to prevent farming/overpricing of the end-game gear, great so far. But honestly, how vast do you see end-game PvE Aion being? I hear a LOT about the Abyss and that's fine and all, but I wonder how much PvE end-game content Aion is going to have. I suppose we'll find out someday, closer to retail Aion when more people are testing the upper levels, unless we already have some info I dunno about? -Mac __________________

Do not hold me to this, but I've had Iris ask that question on the korean official forums. Some of the answers he received from the other players (that are higher ranked or chosen for previous beta) are that there will be a lot of end game content, and they'll be lore relative (draconic raid bosses? outdoor ones and indoor ones?) The Abyss is the high level zone where all this PVP PVE end game will happen at. As of current though t hey did not release specific details on the end game content, just that there will be that aspect in the game and they're working on it currently

Skills are purchased as books (or sometimes drops off mobs) then you pretty much right click to use it and it's learned. Most low level skills will be purchased though. It's kind of similar with the system in L2? From what I remember at least. Quests. If it's a delivery quest to a certain NPC, you CAN click on tooltip which sometimes will have a map and a red dot on the map of where he's at. If it's a hunting quest, it'll put a dot at the general area of where you can find the mobs. Sometimes, if it's something that you have to find, it won't show you anything on the map. But from the quest log it'll give a rough idea of where you should be heading and what you should be looking for. I have to admit the maps help, since I have to guess all the korean words there are =p. Last edited by Shilenne; 04-13-2008 at 04:54 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Great info and pictures. Keep them up.
I have a question too or it is rather a question a friend asked. How does flying with spiritmaster work? I mean, can the elementals fly too or do they stay on the floor and unable to attack airborn PC's. Or do they stay on the floor but still are able to attack the person in the sky? __________________ Join the Dutch Aion community fansite @ http://www.legionsofaion.com/ ![]() (made by kitten <3) |

It's good to hear that vendor gear/quest rewards are actually usable to some extent (Yall don't have any idea on how good "high end" vendor is). You mention the auction house and it made me wonder, how is the money situation? Do you find yourself easily able to buy whatever you need whenever, or do you still need to save up a little bit for your shiny new weapons and armor?

Yay! Thanks Irisviel and Shilenne for all the information! *hugz*
I really liked to hear about people tending to party, imo i dont like playing an MMO to solo... It kinda makes no sense >.<" Well i will join in bothering you with questions, questions! >D Do you have any info on the Templar class? I know they are a "defense oriented" class, but i wanted to know about their damage capabilities as well. - They suck at dealing damage? - How are their defense buffs? Do they work fine and "really tank" whatever comes to harm the party? Thanks! |
