I've been killing rather fast on my assasin actually. I usually start off with an ambush, which is the highest dmg dealt, then I use front slash and back slash (or whatever their names are, can't read Korean lol) whenever it's up, then I counter attack stun it either by dodging naturally or with the dodge for the next attack. While it's stunned I just go behind it and ambush again. If you use a lot of skill chain, or if you crit a lot, assasins put out high dmg.

Only thing though is when I don't crit, the dmg is really weak. But then again I'm rarely not using a skill, and when I am not I have a high chance to crit with daggers.

I've yet to try out sword to see if it helps with the white dmg (non crit ones). I don't think it would as much, that's why I have a preference to use daggers over sword atm ;p

I think it'll improve with the weapon though, atm I don't have good weapons so lol. But assasins can deal nice dmg for sure, as long as you play it right.

How's your soloing rate with your assassin? Sounds like you're spamming skills, so how's the mp/downtime?

I've never been out of mana yet, or even close to it, I'm usually always at full MP. All the skills have CD, but they're pretty short, especially ambush and frontal slash. I've never had downtime caused by MP, usually it's either because of HP (i'm too lazy to carry bandages) or because the server lagged out and booted me off :P

Although I cannot guarantee, I don't think there are such penalties like for having a pet out. I haven't seen any of testers mentioning this matter on forums so far but to make sure I will ask spiritmasters for you.

Unfortunately I have seen very little information on Stigma and what you can really get from it, I have heard you can get things such as the ability to wear plate and such as a caster. Have you by chance seen anything interesting regarding Stigma? Such as something from it other than changing what you can equip and stuff?

Im mostly asking because Im looking foward to a templar class and they really don't get anything impressive from what I can see by investing into stigma for a new type of equipment. Thanks again for your time =)

i have a simple one... are you having fun? with all the references to wow, and ff, i just have to ask... after X number of hours playing, do you still get excited, or look forward to playing another session? i find that after having quit wow 2 years ago, i just havent been "excited" to play any other games (p2p or f2p)...

oh, and do you prefer solo over group, or is it too early to make that distinction?

No one knows much about the stigma system atm. We do know that it is possible to learn to wear other classes' equipments via using stigma but that's about it atm. I've heard that there are certain stigmas that increase your damage, reduce casting speed etc. but I haven't confirmed.

Having fun as in.. from playing many mmorpgs? Well tbh, I don't think I've played that many. I've played Lineage 1, Lineage 2, Ragnarok Online, and WoW. I do get bored of games obviously, like right now, I am really bored of WoW. I do still play WoW but that's just to help out my guild with the Sunwell Plateau progression. I don't play like every mmorpgs out there. I only play if it sounds interesting and stuff. mmorpg like Ever Quest series or all those Free 2 Play games... I haven't tried at all.

There are no penalties to have a pet out. Same conept as Warlock from WoW, there aren't any penalties for using a pet.

I've played a decent amount of MMORPGs in my life, I'm very picky about every aspect in a MMORPG, as soon as I find something I don't like, I lose the urge to want to play and if there were a better option to move on to I would do it.

That being said...

Considering that I'm playing in heavy lag, graphic lag, 0 clue of what most of the things in the game says (I can't read korean ;p), crashes every few seconds, middle of the night - dawn every night and I'm still looking forward to when the server's on and when Irisviel's not playing, I'd have to say it's pretty addictive. Sure I'm not denying the fact that this is a new game and it's so very exciting, but believe me if it was under the previous declared environment for any other game I would have long said ah screw this I'll play this when it's out in US. But I didn't, cause it's just that good >.> even when it's not perfect atm (still need to change things here and there and add stuff)

As for grouping, lol I have to say I'm really use to soloing from the other games, and believe me so is Iris :P, (and the fact that I can't speak korean and would be awkward to ask ppl in english to group with me) we're just soloing atm. However as you level, there will be a point where mobs are all going to require at least 2 man partying. You can kill it solo for quests, but it'd be just not worth the trouble. However I think it's good that way because it forces the players to interact with each other and learn to play in a group (even the ones that never want to group for mobs that spawn on a timer, they'd rather just kill it for themselves and let the other people roll their eyes ;p).

Thanks for all the great info. I have a small question. About the flying/wing system. How are the wings you get determined? Is it a race/class/level kind of thing? Thanks.

Race. If you're Elyos you get angel wings, if you're Asmodian you get bat ones (situated to change depending on the feedback of the players).

When you hit lvl 9, you'll get a class change quest (Mission type quest) where by the time you complete it (it's likely you'll be lvl 10) you'll become the class you wish to play, and become a daeva or whatever it's spelt, and you'll get wings at the same time.

There ARE rumours that you'll be able to change the colour? texture? of your wings with quests completed at higher levels, but that's unconfirmed as of now.

I was just wondering what assassins are like in Aion? Is it like WoW ish? Do they do have large amounts of dps in skills? Fun to play? Needs lots of skill?
