and are those only obtained via PvP battles? or do quests in the Abyss award Abyss points as well?

you can gain abyss points from killing enemy players, enemy fortress guards, and mobs. but don't think of it as "wow you can gain points just from killing npcs? who would pvp then?" it's not that simple. if you get ganked by enemy player you will lose abyss points and believe me there are plenty of ganking around in abyss. some people form raid group specifically for ganking purpose, they don't do anything like questing or farming mobs but ganking.

thanks Iris... i was just reading the patch notes, and it mentioned obtaining Abyss Points from quests as well...

good stuff! i guess it will benefit players to always travel in packs in the Abyss though...
