I would have to say it has to be a mix between the gameplay itself, how it plays so smoothly, and most of all the world and storyline it takes place in. Having no previous franchise to build off of, I have to say the lore is pretty damn good in this, and I stop and occasionally READ the damn quests from time to time, go figure.

Some quests I find actually pull at your heartstrings a little. It's touching really.

I played Aion for a day or so in Beta and I stopped playing because I rolled a sorc and talking on every cast sorta annoyed me

.. But when it released my friend wanted me to play it so I got past the annoyances and now I am addicted lol.. Although the 20's are a sob to get through

Flight and graphics. I've played a lot of other mmo's but didn't quite find what I was looking for. So far Aion seems to really get it right; from the customization options in character creation to the stunning graphics, this game has not disappointed me yet.

I was largely uninterested in the game, but the talk of my peers got me to look into it. I had heard what it was meant to be by many disgruntled WoW players that it'd be the WoW-killer, but didn't hear much else. A couple of my friends tried it on a whim, and some of my guildmates before that. On a whim, I bought it, played it, and I really do enjoy it. I plan on subscribing.
