Whoa, that server filled up fast, perhaps due to the campaigning in this forum, no doubt? (hehe)

After the WARHAMMER debacle where people had to play musical servers to jump around to find a decent population to play with, (and still do), I think the future for this server looks bright...

Its only temporary, you'll be able to make one on there again eventually.

I'm in Japan, and I am currently playing the US Beta, as well as some of my friends out here. If you are having trouble having NCSOFT take ur Registration, load up your browser by proxy (US obviously), and you should be straight... its what i did. After that, you won't need to keep the proxy, it will understand you are playing the US version... also make sure your launcher has right country.

Not a very interesting legion name imo. Anyway, I did have a question. If i were to play JA AION, is it in English or would it be in Japanese? If its in Japanese, and you can't read/understand Japanese, then why would you even consider it?

Its in Japanese. The English patch doesn't work for JP AION.
I speak/read Japanese, but I'm not at the fluent level. So to help my Japanese I'm going to play it.

Thats not too bad of an idea... I was thinking of doing the same (and just have my wife translate teh hard stuff), I just am not sure how much more difficult it will be w/o actually being fluent. And how much it would really help. Is it in Beta atm, or live?

Beta starts on the 7th.

I think the biggest help would be with kanji. I play every game I can in Japanese, and in the beginning spend a lot of time looking up kanji. But after a little while, it sticks in your head.
I think it also helps with increasing vocabulary as well as reading/typing.

I played Monster Hunter Online for about a month, and I feel it helped my Japanese.

Playing Dungeon Siege totally in Japanese did wonders for my kanji ability. That being said, I still needed help with Aion's long-winded tedious registration process in Japanese. I too am looking for some Japanese skill benefits from the game, but I wouldn't approach it without at least some J. skills...

It will be interesting grouping with Japanese players, but GOD HELP ME if I have to type something quickly in Japanese during a fight...

Another reason I want to play the JP AION is because of the time difference. I won't be able to raid because of the time difference if I get NA AION.
I've got school during the day when everybody usually raids.

hope you guys don't mind me joining you in イズラフェル for beta at least. i want to improve my writing/reading skills as well that's why ill try to play this one. so what time is it on? if its 0:01 then 1 hour to go.
