Way Around IP Block

I'm not sure if you are all aware how to do by proxy, but I would research it. I see a lot of people saying that they play the JA version because the NA was blocked. If you set up a proxy when registering the game on your NCsoft account you should have no problems. After that, just make sure your launcher is set to US region and you will be good to go to play any NCsoft games from JA. Hope this helps.

How I know:

My buddy has a NA Beta key and was able to log in and do everything just fine (I think due to his ISP(they connect directly to the states)), however, when I tried, I was blocked saying that I cannot register that code for that region. So, I did what I could and it was simple as setting up a proxy in my browser, registering the code, and then changing the proxy back to normal. I now run just fine.

I got the proxy from a site that lists proxies:

But I put the proxy in manually.

Isn't this a dangerous way to have your personal info compromised? To enter your U.S. beta code (I have one) requires you to enter ncsoft's secure site, where all my credit card info, password, etc. are kept. I hadn't thought about this until I went through the motions of using a proxy, then got all sort of warnings in English and Japanese if I was willing to risk this. I'm not. Perhaps if I knew more about what I was doing, I would...

It's easy. Google "proxy list" and find a proxy that is port 80 or 8080 that has a low ping for you to use. Using this method you'll need to find new proxies often most likely. I generally go for socks4 or socks5 proxies. To use the proxy if you're using Firefox do the following:

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network tab -> Connection "Settings" -> Manual Proxy configuration -> enter your proxy along with the port in the proper boxes and accept all that. To make sure it worked, go to somewhere like myIPaddress.com: What is my IP address? How do I find my IP address? just to make sure.

Additionally there are few more options. You can go to some websites for this purpose, Privax has a nice list.

You can also have a friend setup a Proxy Server for you to use. Now, the advantage of this is that your proxy will always work and nobody can track you, or know where you live. Unfortunately, they are going to know where your friend is. But that's alright for the most part because they aren't you. Google this for more information, it's a bit more advanced.

Another option, download Tor (The Onion Router) - you can get Firefox extension for this, so all you have to do is click Tor Enabled or Tor Disabled and it's on or off, and you'll be browsing anonymously. Google around to find out what it is, where to get it and such.

hahaha, so this is why people got nyerked about the region block, you guys trying so hard to get through...that cuts out like 90% of the impatient people....just give it up guys.

I will be in the US when the US version is launched, I hope this method will work with the retail release when I am oversea in Japan/Asia next year.
