How do you work it?
First things first this is already part of one of my posts (what does it take to make a good guild) but ive decided to make a fresh post to see if i can get more views on this part. if admin want to delete this post or the other one feels free.
Say you had to have 30+ people to start a guild would you go round grabbing just anyone to get the numbers up to start the guild? Or would you pick your members? Think WoW is a good example of this where you have people running up to you asking you to sign up to there guild, some even pay you to sign up and then when they get the numbers they need they kick everyone thoe dont want. Do you interview every single person? Get them on vent/ts talk to them and get to know them or just get them in and hope for the best? Fun ones to organise are guild events such a raids and dungeon runs. How do you do it? One problem I find in large guilds is ether everyone wants to do it when you can only have 20 people doing it or no one wants to do it and your stuck looking for people. Do you have a ranking system in a guild? I mean as a leader will you pass things like the lvling of a group of people to one person and the setting up of a raid/pvp party to another person? How do you pick those people? One thing I always find a fun topic in guilds is the handing out of items. Now say you do a dungeon run and receive an epic item like a bow. You now have to decide out of say 4 people who will get it. How do you decide? The one way I find best is the rolling system but for some reason not everyone likes that. But say you have 2xlvl50, an lvl49 and an lvl46, who would you say get priority of the item? I know some of this sounds silly but I find this interesting to how “leaders” come up with answers to problems like theses. Lol you never know you up coming leaders or already leaders might learn something.

You don't really know much about the person, how dedicated they are, their motives, age, sex, location, anything really... And for a guild I think it's vital to have this information on every single member. For example, at Chosen Existence, EVERYBODY who wants to be in the guild has to fill out the application form. No exceptions. Which I think is very reasonable ![]() Quote:
