Looking for like minded, dedicated players to form guild

I've been debating this for awhile, but I've decided to announce my intent to form an Aion guild. I am looking for a few other people that along with myself will form the officer base of the guild. Previous experience with leadership in guilds is a plus but not required. However, an in depth understanding of MMO mechanics and experience playing at the top level of at least 1 MMORPG IS required.

The intial goal of this guild will be to find an excellent base of players to enjoy leveling together as we begin to master the mechanics of Aion. The ultimate goal will be to become a top guild on our server. Since we are still in the dark about much of the content in Aion it is difficult at the present time to give definitive statements about endgame right now. But assume that as a member of this guild you should be intent on mastering endgame content, including dungeon crawls, PvPvE, or whatever else Aion presents us with.

If you share these ideals and want to have a hand in shaping this guild, and if you accept the responcibilities of leadership than send me a PM regarding this post. Be as detailed as possible in stating your past experience, what you are looking for in Aion, and you idea of what makes a guild great.

I encourage those interested to go through my posts on this forum to gain a better understanding of my perspectives. I will be doing this for anyone I consider.

I apologize for a certain lack of specifics in this post, I have my own ideas for structure and rules for the guild, but these details are what I want to hammer out and finialize with the future officers.

good luck with that but im starting to think their is too may guilds popping up how many will fall? we will see after beta

I guess statistically 50% of the current guilds on these boards wont last till or past 1 week of release.

yeah, it certaintly is early. that's why i dont want to do general recruiting since who knows what will happen with members of this forum upon release, but I do want to dedicate myself to the game so I don't mind taking the risk now, and for the time being I am only looking for a few people who also intend to be dedicated.

Problem with recruiting members in a game that isn't out yet is trying to keep track of them, and also keep up activity. If you have a strong leader though, everything should be gravy.

For this major reason, I am grateful to be starting TheSpiritsWithin guild in Aion with current TSW members from FFXI. We've mostly played together for almost 3 years(This November 1st), so we're very comfortable with each other.

I would imagine building a guild from scratch, in a brand new game that isn't even due out for months, would present quite a few challenges. But I wish you the best of luck with your guild plans and preparations, and I hope that I will see you around Aion(If we are on the same server, that is ).

I created Knights of Valin for Final Fantasy XI about 3 months before the US release of the game, up until release it only consited of core members (about 7 of us) that first created it. After release we began recruited and grew to about 20 solid members and we lasted over a year until I left the game.

I wouldn't be opposed to creating a new guild for this game, or assiting in the creation of one, logisticaly, it's quite an undertaking but if you get a handful of people that are willing to put forth the effort it could be worth it. If my search for a guild that I like turns up empty, I wouldn't mind chatting with you over some ideas.
