MMORPG... where did the RP go?

I was wondering, since it is a mmoRPG, if anyone ever intended to make a... *dun dun dun* rp guild?!

I ended up making a rp guild in all the games I played. But it's a load of work and I do not have the time to invest in this anymore sadly

I believe Knights of the Divine Order (KotDO) is a roleplaying guild for the Elyos. I find the hardest thing about roleplaying is sticking to it for long periods of time. Like, I can't stay in character for too long or else I explode. It's why we made Noble Phantasm half roleplay. Roleplay if you want, but for people like me, you don't have to and no one's going to kill you for talking about grabbing a taco.
^^ Really, I respect the roleplayers who can really stick to their game character and keep writing in their "roleplaying language" so so long.

I used to be a hardcore rper, but with time I turned out to be mostly casual: OOC talk in guild chat, but IC in world chat - unless I'm tired or whatever and feel like being silly and all Yet I still need my bit of rp in games I play, which is why I was asking the question about a rp guild Then again the game is far from out in the market, things will change, and new guilds will be created in time. ^^ Indeed. I wish you the best of luck in finding a good RP guild. If KotDO happens not to be for you in the end, I sincerely hope another super RP guild pops up that suits your needs.

Why would anyone really want to RP? seems embarrassing to me, or just silly if nothing else.

Mmm Im not sure if tere are an RP guilds listed. But from months of browsing the intro threads.. i know there a quite a few players that intend to RP, some have mentioned they will be making their own guilds, but i dont think they havent gotten to posting them yet. Im sure once we get in game you'll have your pick. There is a lot to work with RP wise in this game, should make for some good guilds.

Silly Kaedo, its because of RP that these games even exist. The RP-ers wanted a way to play with more RP-ers hence the rise of teh MMORPG

I play these games to relax and pure grinding or PVP (whatever thats grinding to) wont do the relaxing part. that part is the RP part just sit around a campfire a chat for hours and hours. thats fun it can be OCC chat ot true RP chat.

even in EVE i have my own RP channel (a Bar ) just to have those RP chats..

so i am interested in RP guilds to . but i guess i will wait till the game to see if i like it or not.

Did you try LOTR: Online? I play on a server and I've seen lots of role-play. Some WoW role-play dedicated servers are also pretty decent. L2 has practically no RP.

I come from WoW, played 3 years there. But 3 years in a game is a long time so I need a change. And yes I did try LotR but did not like it.

I give u props i could never play wow for three years, i just get board with wow so easaly for some reason. I like PvP because i some time i just fell like killing ppl(mostly when i get pised)

RPing, always makes a game more fun, that is if everybody sticks to it. Graal Kingdoms was the first RP GAME I played, and I played it for about, 4 years. xD... Aions community seems quite mature, lets hope that we can get something kind of like that in this!
