Guilds and Social Groups

With the forum update to vBulletin 3.7 Release Candidate 1, guild leaders can now have the option to create a Social Group to represent their guild.

There are quite a few benefits of doing so. Members of a guild will be displayed in the "Members" section of the group page. This allows for easy viewing (and advertising). In addition, a group gives only members exclusive rights to post. Non-members would need to be a part of the group in order to post in the message area.

Is discussion actually private? Sure non-members can't post, but from what we can see so far, everybody can view discussion.

Haha, I thought someone would comment on that. At any rate, I fixed the description by removing the word "private." I look forward to seeing more guilds represented in the Group list!
