@angelcrazy: The site looks okay to me, though it's not really the style I like

The holding page of the divinity site's pretty cool, definitely gonna keep it in mind so I won't miss the finished page.

The next guild site I am doing right now is an Elyos guild, so it will be a lighter and 'prettier' design.

I am greatly impressed. I wish I had spent more hours on Photoshop and less hours on Star Trek during my high school years.

I'm curious: How much time do you usually spend on creating those designs?

It can take from about, 1 week, to 3 weeks, depending on how busy I am really, I've learnt that time spent on a design is the key factor to making it look good, this next Elyos site design Im doing I have spent a while on too.

Nice work on the header parts, but CMS looks a little dodgy and to me the DHTML footer is very annoying

Does the header/menu really have to take 60% of the screen forcing you to scroll down all the time? The transparent footer is obtrusive as well. Nice graphics on uk-aion header though.

Yes that concept wanted a large header, the next one up is not the same case though.

Also most people liked the dhtml footer so far, so

on larger resos its is more impressive and less obtrusive. And dodgy CMS? :S

Angelcrazy, whilst I personally don't like the designs, I admire you're code.

They are W3C Valid, Look here for proof

That floating footer isn't needed, why it isn't just static at the bottom of the page I'll never know.

You need to play around with your fonts a little more, you can do a lot with typography using css, letter-spacing and emphasis can be done. For your headers you could even look at using this compliant image replacing method called sifr.

sIFR - I'd personally use this for my div box headers, or really play with the fonts.

Also due to font wrapping some of your headers push your dividers height, its good that your dividers are scalable, but this reveals an unwanted black background, you need to define a background colour similar to the colours found in the image you have defined as the background, this will make this less noticable. Might I add using image replacement would also stop this from happening.

Nice sites, well coded, some parts I would revise though.

Quite an insight there thank you, but i think its all just personal preferences to the things you suggested, and yeh all the site I create are valid, just has to be done doesn't it! The design was quickly made and just a different take on the Asmodian feel, other designs are soon to follow and everyone is going to look alot different. The floater footer was just wanted and appreciated by the client so left it there.

sIFR just looks way too complicated for a dynamic website I think, especialy one written with such a mediocore CMS driven by a phpBB3 forum.
