For me, I started my guild for my friends. Because my friends and I just didn't seem to fit in anywhere in other games we played~

People would get offended at our lack of TMI Filters, or random nubspeak arguments. Or they just plain found us annoying. 8D

Ouch, starting a guild is a big responsability and being a guild leader is a very stressful job. I honestly don't mind having a leading function if there are co-leaders around, but I definately wouldn't start a guild out of nothing.

Overall, people start a guild because they want a new flow in the game.

I have a few friends that I go from game to game with. When we first met I was the guild leader and then we changed games and someone else from our click was the leader. Basically people from the inner circle took turns being leader and now that we're coming to aion its my turn again. Sadly none of them made the guild as strong as I made it in our first game together. Which leads me to believe I'm the better leader. I guess I like being an alpha male and in a position of authority. For that reason I don't think I could ever join another guild that wasn't lead by one of my friends.

That and we all like to agree on the guild name =)

Ive played many MMO's , ran my own small guild in WOW and been officers in many guilds in other games. To be the leader of a large guild, or legion in this case is more than a casual player like I am now can handle. I admire those in charge of successful guilds and I think there is alot of people new to gaming who don't really understand how much goes into creating and managing a legion. Myself, I'm just happy to offer my support and grind,quest, and of course gather. Loyalty to your legion and support from the officers makes for a great gaming experience.
