Noble Phantasm is an Aion legion that strives to both create a friendly family oriented environment and compete for end game material, such as raid instances and stronghold/siege PvP. We intend to achieve this through strong leadership and a careful recruitment system that focuses on gaining members that have good attitudes and a willingness to participate as a team player.

First and foremost, we understand that we're not the legion for everyone. We're looking for "nice" members who are ok with a family oriented guild. We believe that win or lose, as long as we do it with good people, we'll be happy. If you have any specific questions about us, please feel free to ask, but here are some of the highlights:

• We're a family friendly legion. So the forums, ventrilo, and guild chat areas are to be kept PG13
• We do not want a game to become anyone's second job. Real life always comes first, and no one is going to "force" anyone to play.
• We have both casual players and hardcore players. We believe that everyone can contribute to the legion in their own way. Some are good at PvP, some are good at PvE, some make the legion a more friendly place to be. We understand and appreciate all those different talents.
  
• Despite the "casual" atmosphere of Noble Phantasm. We also take many steps to become one of the best.
• Most of our members play very hardcore. They take the game seriously, but just want to freedom to prioritize real life when needed.
• Our legion's structure is uniquely designed to maximize the efficiency of our conduct and ability.

We are a North American legion. However, Noble Phantasm also has a lot of Europeans with us whom we love to death. We're open to anyone who wants to join the legion from all over the world, but we will be planning our big events around North American time.

While this is subject to change as more information rolls in, our events will likely go as follows:

Weekdays - 5:00pm - 8:00pm (PST, GMT -8): PvE raids/RP Events/Smaller Scale PvP
Weekends - 3:00pm ~ (PST, GMT -8): Massive PvP Sieges

If we get a large enough member base, we might hold multiple events a day, or establish a "night owl" and "early bird" event table so members of multiple times can attend. Nothing is set in stone yet, but this is just to give potential applicants an idea of where we'll stand as far as scheduling goes.

This leadership structure was designed to hit several aspects of legion management that typical legions tend to miss or neglect.

• It reduces officer burn-out by effectively distributing responsibility and work load.
• It Allows for quick decision making since the High Warlord and the Judges are all capable of making critical guild decisions.
• It puts an emphasis on the people of the legion, where most legions tend to neglect this and focus only on progress and "end game" content.
• Creates "teams" to work together on the most critical aspects of legion management, so more care can be given to detail.

The member structure was designed to solve many problems the officer's have experienced in past guilds.

• It creates "meaning" to guild ranks. Guild ranks are not just for show, but hold purpose and rewards.
• It allows for an accurate assessment of members. No member achieves a new rank without earning it.
• It establishes a careful trial member system to make sure that applicants really are as good as they say they are on their application before being allowed to move up to a full member.
• It rewards the members who go above and beyond the call of duty and stand out as extremely helpful and skilled members of the legion.

Your guild sounds really cool, im seriously considering joining. I was wondering if your guild will trying to occupy a castle. That was one of the things I wanted to do in L2 but could never find guild to join (too busy dealing with the grinding)

To answer your question Bibliophile, yes we do plan on occupying a castle if not an entire zone We are shooting to have a good starting number of members at the start to get the run on things. With our current rate of membership I do very much believe by release time we will have the numbers and organization to get things done.

I've got it fixed, I'm really sorry about that, and thanks for pointing it out. The link is fixed now and it turns out it was from a typo in making the post in the first place.

As Theron's already said, our whole intent is taking a stronghold, if not more depending on what kind of numbers we get by the time we're ready to start laying siege to the abyss. At the moment, we're doing well number wise and community wise. We've grown an unexpectedly high amount for only 6 days of being a public Aion guild, with more people we know still who've promised to joined but at a later date.

I guess the more information we recieve, the better things get. Heres hoping that ncsoft works in conjunction with its intended audience and works with the beta testers with feedback!

I'm quite looking forward to the feedback this March with the Abyss opening up. I'd really like to have more information on the mechanics of strongholds and the siege warfare I've been worked up about.
