Player Resists

Now i understand that this may seem like a QQ thread, I play sorc and it seems whenever i am in pvp 1v1 i seem to get resisted at least 70% of the time. I use a spellbook and gem as much magic accuracy as i can without sacrificing to much boost (prolly 2:3), and take careful note of area and wings to be wary of lvl gaps [at least not in my favor lol]. Just after some input from other mages on pvp resists, too great? too little? pants? no pants?

M.acc doesn't affect resist % gained by level difference, you shouldn't have problems hitting an equally geared played without slotting for accuracy.

Are they higher level then you? (by at least 3)
Do they have epic phat gear? (nearly all gold)
Do they socket all m resist?

That may be yer problem.

probably fighting ppl higher level than you. makes a huuuuuge difference

Higher Levels and/or stacking mage resist.. stacking more mage accuracy should help.

as long as they're not higher than 2 levels above you, you don't get a resist penalty. if they're 3+ levels, you get extra 10% resist per level beyond 3 levels. 4 levels higher than you would be 20% chance to resist, 5 level = 30%, etc. that's on top of the resist you already get from their magic resist vs your magical accuracy

link in my sig is a web app for sorcerers, you can click on "Spell Damage Calc" and put in your info, and your pvp target's info (or make it up) and play around with it and see what it takes to get your resist chance down to zero.
