So, in the past few days since my last blog, a lot of things have been going on. First, there's been a lot of debate over boosting XP majorly for quests. Second, a decent amount of discussion about PvP, PvP instances, and opening the Abyss to early characters.

While the XP buff might be an interesting method to get people to stop having such a fit over grinding (which by my definition is having to do something you don't like to do in a game as grinding requires friction), it doesn't...

It was time to see what that outer-space-like-place was supposed to look like, so as soon as I hit 25, I got myself eligible to enter the Abyss. After taking a bit of time to get myself used to it I found my excitement growing as I learned more about it.

The instructors only made me chomp at the bit more as they explained the inner workings of dealing with fortresses. While some could say it's directly ripped from Warhammer, I'd have to say that it reminded me a lot more of Planetside,...

So I finally moved into Morheim after working diligently enough on the leftover quests from Altgard and Pandaemonium. I considered walking there from the Impetusium, but I guess I got lazy. Go figure.

Anyway, after getting in one thing was apparent: There were a lot of people here, and only one channel. I entered Morheim on my laptop, a far inferior laptop than my desktop PC. Framerates dropped to about 15 to 22, and even then the system had problems caching textures.

Nyerk... I wanted to hold off on joining a legion, but Query talked me into it. So, I'm now a member of a Legion. At least I've got more people to talk to instead of the Vaizel Assassin's Chat.

Finished two sets of 100 quests today, and cleaning up the rest of my journal for left-over stuff. Normally I wouldn't care, but hey, I want a full completion. At this point I have no choice but to get to Morheim. We'll...

So while I was looking for a way to reduce latency, I inadvertantly found out that my laptop (the machine I'm playing on) hasn't been updated to Service Pack 3, and hasn't had any dependent updates.
