I don't know...maybe you're being negative. I'm not mocking you at all. What you told me had so much less to do with games than with you just trying to find your way in life. It had the feel of something very personal...something you probably should have pmed me, instead of written where anyone could see. But it meant something to me that you bared yourself to me like that.

It's interesting how much of that has absolutely nothing to do with games...but thank you for sharing with me.

Ok, so I promised I would tell you something, so here goes:

There's actually a short answer to this, but getting to know you, I'm thinking that you will want the long one.

...I'll give you the short one anyway: Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (for the most part)
    *smirks*
And now the long one (haha, I tried to post it to your account and found out I am going to have to break it into parts): I want a game that embodies a real fantasy life. I think that as being a gamer is damn near a way of life (for those of us that are deep in), and we spend/waste so much of our time in these games, that we deserve more than most games offer at the current time. I have a lot of influences from my first game, Ragnarok Online. First of all, it caught my eye because it allowed me to "be" an anime character in an anime world. I got so engrossed in that game world, and though it was only 2D and had not many quests, there was just something about it. I felt that I was living in a world rather than simply playing a game. I want to feel that my character is actually growing, not just progressing through levels. In Ragnarok, there were (initially, there were eventually more) 3 stages of class progression. Everyone started off as a novice and then had to do a quest to be accepted as an apprentice to whatever class they wanted to progress to.

So for example, if you wanted to be a priest, you would have to test to become an acolyte, and then spend the next 40-50 levels learning how to be an acolyte before you could take the test to become a priest. You really felt the growth of your character; progression really meant something. And not all people passed the test, or at least not on their first try. It's not like in most games where progression is a guarantee. So because this was a true challenge, you felt the accomplishment once you succeeded, and your friends were there to watch you and congratulate you once you would come back from your trials and literally transform in front of their eyes to your next class. There were 14 classes in all. I like that because I tend to get bored with one class often and need to try something new. I prefer to have around 20 classes offered. But another thing is that the classes were very unique, each class was it's own, not just the same as x class with a little different spin to it.

Another thing I want is customization. I want my character to be what I want it to be, not what devs tell me I have to be. In Ragnarok you were given almost complete freedom. All of your stats were chosen by you. Each level you were given points to allocate and you put them wherever you wanted. You also chose your spells.
