lol, ok, i agree, kinda! RANT WARNING! Not a troll!
Aion is a great game! But i kinda don't care how long you have been in the MMO industry, Aion is different. Its like Daoc in a way, long times grinding, high level ganking etc. But i can tell you this: the things that make epic mmos are the long periods of leveling and no raid/set piece gear. Aion already Failed at one, but I'm a casual player and love the game! I say all bot users should be perma-ban and that it should take longer to level. why? because you don't just play an MMO and say your done with it after getting to level 49 in 14 days. Then move on to the next one. Its just something you play for fun over a long period of time, grind up 2 bubs a day after level 30 and then do quests whenever you want. You WILL get to level 50 in 30 days. as for the group bonus, i agree with you, and with the ranger kiting thing. Its just that some of your solutions would make Aion a trivial game with less epic leveling and pvp. getting to level 50 in 20 days for casual gamers, Dont get me wrong, i think your cool and all but...Aion is not just a game for hardcore players, its for anyone that likes a challange, doesn't whine or fuss over little things, and loves to play a game to relax (in the PvE zones of course)

P.S. I like Mythic, But Lets pretend that Warhammer never happened, it was a failed game that only had kiddie RvR with PvP flags, all moves had set damage, insta kill guards all over, three magic resistances, Keeps that could not have their walls taken down (in a game with catapults), and a stolen WoW inventory.

I agree totally with your letter to devs ( thought it more prudent to post it in here as opposed to forums as anything I post is immediately clubbered these days , so much so I no longer bother to post in forums anymore or very rarely ) . It is a simple fact- one which every MMO studio simply needs to acknowledge- any online game depends in large part on the casual player .The bulk of your playerbase is always casuals. As it is now these folks will quit Aion in droves :

- grinding ( first noticable around level 22-25)
- abyss ganking making it impossible to complete any quest in that zone .Where's the slayer system??I have seen folks type in lfg "looking for ganking squad" .That isn't a good sign .
- exponential dependency on amount of kinah one has ( most noticed in the amount of cash one has to fork over for soul heals ) , resulting in presence of large quantities of bots/goldsellers as well as presence of goldbuyers . Just banning accounts will not solve this problem .
- PvP is not really a major factor ( ganking isn't pvp ) as fortress battles outcome is decided by whichever side is suffering the least lag not on which side is most skilled .Solution: make fortresses instances .
- folks have been asking when you can enjoy PvP and are very dissapointed when the answer is level 20. Enhance arenas ( more PvP options there ) and make them accessable to anyone >level 10 As is now arenas are not used at all .
