Too late, you should have told me that before! I've already lost my job, my family and even my sanity because of it! I finally could play without DCs this morning, I'm about to ding 44 now =). Seen a couple of members from your guild running around, is Forsaken a brazilian guild or something like that? Some of them had names that sounded portuguese to me, you know... kind of similar to Spanish but not quite

Yeah I read that somewhere, seemed fun but hella imbalanced...

Anyway, I'm not really against the current stigma system, maybe you misunderstood... I was just trying to state why I think we won't innovate a lot and just build from what koreans already discovered.

In totally unrelated news... my internet keeps disconnecting every 20-40 mins since Monday and it's driving me nuts since I want to PLAAYYYsdasjkjqe

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with copying the koreans, just wondering if there's enough customization to innovate. Personally I think the stigma system is kind of lacking in that aspect, it's cool but the good choices are almost always clear and it's just a matter between deciding from 1 or 2 different stigmas/builds, that's why I think we won't innovate as much in this game as in the ones I mentioned before. For example in guild wars there was a huge array of skills to pick from but your actual bar was limited and you had to make sure they synergized well with each other, making the possibilities much more ample.

Ah yeah, I've seen that video before... that just proves I have little to no knowledge about rangers hehe...

Even then, from past experiences in some other MMO's Koreans seem to have a different taste in builds than us, it will be fun to see how Aion develops in NA... some games us westerners just copy the koreans, but I've seen some others that develop a completely different metagame that works in it's own way (for example in Guild Wars or WoW). For now it seems we're mostly copying the korean way but since most people didn't reach 50 yet we won't know for sure until the few coming months.

You sure that'd work? It seems the class is designed with that randomness on mind, I guess it would help counterbalance it a little but I believe you'll still be pretty reliant on crits.

Anyway, I'm passing on Ranger for now, like I said I'm kind of missing the support playstyle and the only other DPS class that interests me right now is the Assassin which I will probably end up leveling... eventually.

Well I usually like archer classes but the random aspect of the ranger is something I can't deal with, I prefer to have control over my bursts than crossing fingers hoping for a crit
