yea that's what I hear, my brother worked over there for a few months or so, he had the option to go to the ramp full time but the stupid bastard never went to get his license so he lost out. But right now jobs at the airport are tough to get because the companies that are going to survive are already booked on thier jobs, sucks but it's true. Right now it seems the big boom in the job market is in the medical field, RN's, Radiology techs, Coders, Financial directors, I mean I hear about it all at my job, seems that if I decide to leave I can almost have my pick :P

Yeah, it's really hard to make money at Fedex. The rate is pretty high but I just don't get that much hours over there. Unless I apply for a full time job but that's almost like impossible to get since there are a lot of workers that are applying for a full time position too and only a few of them gets chosen. I love the benefits though but it's not enough for me.

Ahhhhh, I use to work for PenAir as their GSE mechanic, I use to know some of the GSE mechanics at FedEX back in the day (I was trying to get me a job there but that didn't work out), right now I'm doing Medical Billing and Coding for a non-profit Health Organization called Eastern Aleutian Tribes in Midtown

I'm working at Fedex right now but I'm quitting that job pretty soon 'cause I've found a better paying job. >.>

There's a good neighborhood out there?!! :O J/K, that area isn't that bad anymore, I do remember for a time it was pretty rough out that way, or maybe it was just the people I knew back then

Hehe I'm like 10 minutes drive away from my work and I live in a good neighborhood so I'm cool with it.

Haha poor sap Actually I couldn't stand really living out in that area, tried staying with a friend out there.. that lasted 3 days before I said screw that and left :P I like Midtown area better, closer to everything and I can just walk everywhere, the only bad thing is the mobs of homeless folks

HAHA yea I know how that goes, all my friends played some MMO's for a while, now they have all fallen to the "ZOMG FPS GAMEZ!" or they have just become utter Guitar Hero fanatics.... So you said you live on the West Side of Anchorage, so that would put you near the Airport/Turnagain Arm area?
