By going through the motions more quickly, I believe we can get our brightest out of school faster and into the field, where they will gain real experience, earlier. This will give them an advantage over foreign students who cannot play the same rush game.

And as a reward, I think it is only fair these super students should be allowed to retire much earlier. The productivity of an individual, having passed peak, will only decline. Maybe just three or four peak years is equivalent to an entire decade's worth of productivity towards the end. These super students who can and do choose to sacrifice their peak years should be rewarded for their sacrifice, and hey, in terms of what is accomplished overall, the results are the same. Not entirely sure how we'll convince corporate America of the same ( these guys are going to need money to support themselves ).

Anyway, I'd be glad to hear about your comments, just leave them someplace where I can see them ( pref. as a reply to my blog ).

I like to think there are things we can do for our students, and that to a certain extent, we owe it to them.

That said, what I suggest isn't designed to magically make deadbeats productive individuals; the fruits of my system, like any other system, will still only be attainable by those who are motivated. That said, I believe language is the most crucial element to education because by developing language abilities, one is able to effectively pursue other topics. By quickly developing language abilities and allowing students to pick classes earlier, more students will become motivated and fewer students will drop out. And even those students who never become motivated will at least have a very solid foundation that will help them in the future, if they decide to continue education.

The end game I was working toward however, is not this. I believe those of us who speak English or languages very similar to English are very lucky in that our language is very easy to learn; so easy that we can compress the time required to learn English without consequence, unlike languages like Chinese that are so complicated that they cannot compress the time to learn their language and must spend just short of a decade to attain mere adequacy.

Alright, before giving out these three wonderful steps you will need a little history class(Vital!). The Tlee Way Way was invented in early China to cut noodles in a short amount of time. Once "The internet" was...
