Updating/upgrading random addons/plugins/vBulletin itself, etc..

EDIT: Alright, I'm pretty much done messing with the forum for a little while. You can have it back now.

Enjoy the new "Abyss" forum!

All today I'll be messing with AionSource.com's backend, vBulletin, and updating/upgrading addons/plugins, etc.. If anything weird happens, like portals to the other side of the world opening up randomly, let me know in this post please. In return I'll give you a succinct log of what I'm doing.

Updated the "Seperate Sticky and Normal Threads" plugin to 3.0.0 (from 2.0.0) for increased vb 3.8.0 compatibility.

Installed the "vB Optimise" [sic] plugin and configured it to cache templates, styles, and phrases using Memcache. This should increase AionSource.com's responsiveness quite a bit. Let me know if you can feel a difference. I can.

Updated the AME (Automatic Media Embedding) plugin from version 1.2.0 (old, old, old) to 2.5 RC1. Installed a massively expanded list of definitions at the same time, so more video sites should work on AionSource.com now. Report any bugs, please.

Updated vBulletin itself to 3.8.0 RC2.

Here are a few notes:

-All forum areas have reverted to original "brown" look.

-When clicking "Home" from forum area users get the message:
"You do not have permission to access this page"

-Post Width and Height is larger than normal allowing for less posts per page. (This could be due to my personal preference but I'm not sure).

-Account Box in top right has disappeared unless you are on the "Home" page.
EDIT: It has not disappeared but moved down 2 rows. Guess I missed it - I'm not used to the "brown" look.

For technical reference:

I am using Google Chrome and Firefox. Have not tested this on IE since i have it uninstalled.

PS: Thanks for keeping maintenance up on the site Mark! You do a great job.

All Icons for Digg, stumbleUpon, google, delicious are all missing and do not display correctly.

Try Ctrl+F5 on every page that shows up incorrectly to you. Also, take some screenshots. I've tried my test account and it looks good from my end, but I have read of people getting errors with the "vB Optimise" script that sound similar to what you're describing.

You really shouldn't be able to see any of those templates, since I turned them off. :l

Lemme refresh the cache.

EDIT: Done. I really don't know what causing this problem for you, if it persists. I'll ask the plugin developer for advice.

Also - from random locations (The Wiki, For example) when you click "Home" it takes you to http://www.aionsource.com/forum/ instead...

ADDED: After Refresh I still have the old Brown look. Except for the home page, this is really weird...

Updated "vB Optimise" to version 1.1.0. Not sure if it will fix your problems, Aelo. I'll also update the forum itself later tonight to RC2, maybe that will help.
