Exclusive? Collector's Edition!

I usually agree with you, but it can be done right. Vanguard's CE came with a great cloth map of the world, in-game cloak with special attributes, a free 3mo subscription to Vanguard Players ( which had lots of potential, but wasn't bug-free by the time I left ) as well as an exclusive trophy-like item for your guild.

I'm sure Aion isn't just going to shrug and only give us a little Cherub that follows you around or something. Cool stuff in-game and out is what makes a good CE

Yeah the collectors edition for Vanguard was good because of the 3 months free play. Which in the end worked out cheaper than a normal one with the 1 month free, then paying for the extra 2 months.

I'm definately game for an Aion CE. Nice find.

I'd go for the music CD and the in-game item, but it may still have one of those pop-up cardboard things anyways. As long as it has the CD right?

By the way Mark, where in Florida have you managed to get a hold of said pre-order box? It took me forever to get one for Nightfall last year and I can't remember quite how I got it.

I think CE will be interesting to say the least. Cant say as I have played any of NC Soft's games before this so I dont know how they do CE's but seeing how they handle the release it should be great. A CD could be an awsome add in, but I would like to know what the music is going to be like before I start drooling over their CD. Not much sense to getting something you are never going to use.

I'd probably get the CE even if it didn't have a CD. But based on the music we've heard already, I'd think the soundtrack would be awesome.

I don't know what other CE's of NCSoft's are, but the Guild Wars Nightfall CE had a soundtrack, 2 pins, a card-board character, and a poster map. $70 ($20 more than regular package).

Local GameStop. I've been going in there over and over again this past week or two asking if they had it. They said two days ago that they would get a new shipment in yesterday, so I popped in in the morning and they knew exactly what I wanted.

Woah, I'm definitely gonna go for the CE whenever it's up for pre-order, I kinda liked the ones for GW. Hoping for the soundtrack, some kine of in-game item and... an artbook would probably rule. I wouldn't say no to an Aion mousepad either, like Factions had. Sure it was kinda small, limited by the size of the box, but it was nice enough to bring for the Lan meetings. Stickers are always nice too.

Hmmm, I usually don't go for the CE in a game just because it usually includes lame stuff like the pet in-game and such, like in WoW. But if the CE were to have the soundtrack CD in there, I might just go for it. ^_^

The music I have heard so-far has been gorgeous, they really did great on that part. I haven't had any game's music catch my attention other then Final Fantasy's (I love FF!!) and now, Aion's. xD
