im glad ncsoft have got there fingers out of the holes and decided that they did make a MASSIVE MISTAKE on picking retailers for ce editions and beta keys,,cause the announcement that EVERYONE who had keys for the last beta event will have access to this beta is awesome!!

if someone could make a nice thread on this announcement ,,just incase people miss it,,it would be cool!
cause i cannot make a new thread myself for some reason

I'm not feeling the fact that they are allowing the play of Elyos this weekend. It really seems like Asmodians are getting shafted on their recruitment.

It's already bad enough that our first weekend was only 1-10, so people who were already planned on going Elyos wouldn't even really get to see much of the Asmodian experience. But at least they HAD to experience some of it, just like all of us Asmodians had to experience the Elyos side of things two weeks ago. And it's a possibility that some Asmodians switched sides. But now, they not only gimp the experience in the first place, but take away the one advantage that we had...

Two servers, allowed to have Elyos and Asmo on same server for the beta event, level capped to 10, if you're existing Elyos is over 10 it is frozen at that level. Sounds like plenty of time to level one or more of both factions to level 10 and get a preview ot the toons.

This is great news ( about the old characters not being deleted ), even though its a beta; doing level 1-10/20 five times would have made me go insane.

I slightly disagree. The fact that we are actually seeing some polished Asmodian content may sway people who played Elyos in the first beta.

I wasn't in the first beta either and I plan on playing both because I'm still not sure which I want to choose. It would suck for me to have to wait until the next beta to be able to try out the Elyos.

Oh yea, the polished material is great. But that was a given. What I'm saying is that because you don't have to play Asmodian, there will be a lot of Elyos-minded that just play their Elyos until 10, maybe try out some new chars, and then be done, never even trying out Asmodian.

And yes, it would suck, but for hardcore Asmodians, it sucked to be forced to be Elyos in the first beta, but we had to do it, for longer, so...

True, but I think those Elyos minded people would play Elyos even if Asmodians were the focus of the first beta.

Would have been better if they made both available from the start.

Faet: I definitely understand what you mean and highly recommend even die hard Elyos players check out the Asmodian side of things. Not only because they've got some very cool things in their area, but because NC needs your help diving into their texts!

This paragraph proves they did indeed throw away every bit of work the Brighton-localization team had already done months ago . They started from scratch after firing those folks.
