Western CBT2 Update and a Recap of the Week's News!

Hey everyone- just wanted to recap on all the Aion news from the week since we're going into Beta weekend.

First of all, to recap:

The second Aion closed beta event kicks off this weekend Friday, June 19th (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST) and ends Monday, June 22nd (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST).

That hasn't changed, but what has changed is this:

- Second server added to both North America and Europe! NEW!
- Elyos characters WILL be playable this beta, also 1-10! NEW!

We will be updating this thread throughout the weekend.

What can I expect this weekend?
- Updated with culturalized content for Asmodian levels 1-10
- Updated UI at login screen
- Localization fixes for various in game maps
- Fixed various NPC messages
- Initial zone channels increased from 4 to 10
- Server queue added

Levels 1-10 only? Why?
You will be the first to see our re-worked localization. Our team of published writers have been working hard on the in-game dialogue and story and we need YOUR help to make sure it has all been implemented correctly. Level 1-10 content is our focus for this event, so please take your time to read the text and report anything you find.

What happened to my Elyos character?
Your Elyos character(s) are alive and well. In fact, we have opened up both sides for this event! Even though we'd like our beta testers to focus on the Asmodian content, you can still play your "old" character(s) and create new ones.

But my character is higher than level 10! Can I still play?
You sure can! However, your character's level has been frozen, this means you can play but you won't 'ding'.

Does this mean I can have a character(s) from both factions on a single server?
For this particular event, yes. You will not be able to have character(s) from both factions on a single server at launch.

Is there updated culturalized content on the Elyos side?
If you decide to play your Elyos character(s) you'll be reading the same content from the first beta event. New Elyos content is coming soon!

In preparation for this beta weekend, we posted a leveling guide for you all for the Asmodian side and with the recent addition of the Elyos, we've also posted our 1-10 Elyos guide! Choose your faction below for the corresponding guide!

Next on the recap list is another resource to enhance your beta experience; the very warmly received AionArmory! Syndication with AionSource should be finished sometime today.

We're hoping to roll out the first bug fix/update for the Armory tomorrow, but keep submitting your bugs to the new AionArmory forum!

And speaking of new forums, the Question & Answer forum is going strong! If you've read the guides and find yourself still looking for answers, stop by and ask the community or The Answer Man a question!

Just a minor correction, If your elyos char was 20 it will still be 20. However, it will still be frozen at lv 20.

Edit: Just to make that a bit more clear. From my understanding of his post, lets say you still had a 17 char, it would still be 17 but be unable to progress any further due to the current lv cap is 10.

Yes. You'll be unable to "ding" or level-up beyond your current level. If you ended last beta at 17, you won't be able to progress past 17 until next beta.

It would be good to get some of my large screen shots in the offical game with the UI on but oh well, no EU beta key.
