Well today i just peroder the Aion Specail Edtion and recieved a beata key. I was so excited to try it out, but found out the key is no long vailed. I dont know if its the frist key or second it doesen't say. Well i hope to get invited to recieve the third key that would be awsome. Thanks to Knight 4 the updates!

It's valid. The beta is not live right now check this section of the forum for the beta schedule, next one starts July 2, don't get another key you're fine.

I was just curious. A friend of mine has preordered a copy of Aion for himself and I from Amazon. It's not a CE, but we're wondering, will we still get a key, or just the CE gets the keys?

I ordered from them as well, a CE. The beta key was in the confirmation email. Look again.

Both editions are elligible for the preorder key. You should receive one in time for the next beta weekend (the details of when they send the next wave of keys should be up on their site). I don't know if you ordered from Amazon US or UK, but on the UK site it was stated in the terms that there will be only 1 key sent out per customer (not per order or per game copy).

So if you ordered from Amazon US the same may apply - be sure to check their site for that. If so, your friend may have to cancel one of the orders and let you order your own so you both get a preorder key...

I wasn't wrong (I said they're wiping after the closed betas, and they are), I just didn't mention the second wipe (after open beta) because that wasn't what niuniu was asking about.

It depends on where you got your key. Fansite (AionSource, AionHun, etc.) keys and pre-order keys are good for all of the events. If you got your key from MMORPG or another mass giveaway, those are the ones that are expiring. To fill that void and to give more people a chance to play, FilePlanet will be giving out beta keys on Monday but we've received no word on whether these are temporary as well or how many they'll have to distribute.

Am I wrong in assuming you have to have a subscription with File Planet to get a beta key for next week? I know people that would love to get in on the fun, but are not yet prepared to preorder.

The key should be automatically put in your account (under Add a Serial Code on your account management page), from where you can select it to make an Aion Beta account. The keys will not be sent to you per email.

The client download link is on your Aion beta account page after you've added the key - there is a link there which says "Download PC Client". Just download that and follow the instructions.

I believe there is a way to circumvent the non-free signup for Fileplanet by creating an IGN account for the IGN boards, and selecting "remember me". Then when you navigate to the Fileplanet page it should detect that you are currently signed in with an IGN account and ask you if you want to use that instead.

I discovered this by accident after I signed up on some random IGN boards, and went to Fileplanet shortly after to get an AoC trial key (since they offered 14 days instead of the usual 7). It told me you had to be signed in to participate, but that I was already signed in elsewhere as <IGN name>, so I clicked yes to sign up using that account and hey presto.
