I'm not sure what it is about these preview events that makes me suddenly spam News items but today is no exception!

[Patch Notes] v1.5 Update - Shadow of the Balaur

Props to Hellbound and Lightspeed for the translation.

With recent news letting everyone know that Aion will be released at 1.5 people have been craving to know what we'll be seeing and Aionsource is happy to deliver.

Just to give you all a brief overview of what the latest patch entails:

• 12 New Instance Dungeons!
• Pirate Ships ;o
• An arcade-styled battleground, the Dreadgion of all things.
• Brand new skills and advanced stigma customization.
• New costumes!
• Item tweaks and changes, brand new sets!
• Changes/Additions to the Gathering system.
• UI changes.
• Greater levels of character customization.

The AionArmory Needs You!

With the recent release of Patch Two for the AionArmory things couldn't be going better with more features and functions on the horizon. However perfection doesn't make itself and on that note we're looking for some helping hands with the continued development of the AionArmory.

On that note we are in need of Armory editors, those of you interested will need to submit a private message to me voicing your interest with whatever details you deem relevant. Please note that we are seeking those with relativly extensive in-game knowledge, in particular those that have had a lot of experience in the Korean and Chinese distributions of Aion.

This position will involve editing articles, approving screenshots/edits, writing guides and other things of that nature. If you qualify and are absolutely certain you can and want to handle that responsibility then throw me a PM as stated above. This is a position of responsibility and trust so preference will be given to established members of the community (assuming they meet the before-mentioned criteria), thanks in advance for those of you that decide to put in the hard yards =)

As for good old Joe Blogs fear not we need your help too, while you're all running around feel free to take as many screenshots as possible of pretty much anything and everything. We're in need of screenshots for items, monsters, locations and all that fun stuff. To submit a screenshot just login to the Armory, go to the appropriate page and visit the screenshots tab below.

But that's not all we're in need of, quest information in particular is in need of some additions so feel free to help out there. NetCurse has posted an example of a submitted quest guide in the Armory forums. We will be providing an extensive guide on editing tools within the next couple days after some minor bugs have been hotfixed. The general look of submitted information is probably going to change somewhat too.

So thanks a bunch to everyone that's been participating in the Armory thus far, life's only getting better as Aion approaches

By Golly is that a Surpreme Commander?!

In the world of Aionsource there have been Humans and Daevas, I personally have always found that to be a bit boring. Perhaps that's why my title seems to change every week... that's right folks, for all you forum junkies out there I am pleased to announce post-count titles.

Of course this is SPARTA Aion so things have to be Aion appropriate eh? As such our titles will (for the most part) be based off Aion's Abyss Rankings as follows:

Title - Posts Required:

• Human - 0
• Daeva - 10
• Soldier - 50
• Officer - 100
• Star Officer - 300
• Lieutenant - 500
• General - 800
• Great General - 1300
• Commander - 2000
• Supreme Commander - 2500

Please be aware that certain forum sections such as Everything Else (Chit-Chat, Basement, etc) and Introductions do not count towards overall postcount. Also spamming for titles wont be tolerated with my lovely delete-stick on hand should anyone misbehave, and yes post counts are recalculated upon thread deletion so no cheating!

And that's about everything, hopefully everyone's having a blast in the latest preview event! I wait with bated breath for when you all return in a seething mass of activity ._.

Oh and just a quick mention, yesterday we hit an all-time high of active users at 3,187! Aion's following is growing and it's a pleasure to see it all unfold.

Nice update... The main issue here is the botting I hope they fix... I'm playing on China server right now and standing next to a bot that is executing moves in an impossible speed than allowed... Does exact same motions, attacks any mob near it, runs back to exact same spot, sits for a second then stands and waits for new mob to appear... Repeat... Went from lvl 19 to 23 in about half a day because I logged in and saw it earlier at 19, and 23 now...

I'm going to try and have some fun with it and train the boss in the area next to it and see if it attacks it... It did when I trained a lower level mob to it, so might with the boss...

that is GREAT! cause i want a G11 lol

also, it is too bad that the 0 post counts do not count towards that. it is understandable, as the 0 post area does not contribute to ANYthing, but still... i guess i cant have my cake and eat it too
