my this year vacation days at work based on the release date of this game... (fair to call me crazy)......either beta or the actual release date... wow wish i knew these dates

suddenly i feel so good to be in Portugal ^^ even if the beta comes sooner in US than EU, knowing they care about us for a change in the game industry already made me happy... thank you Ayase :]

anyway, aion is going to be my first mmo where i participate from its beginning, and watching the video is like watch its birth.. :P

PS: i'm in love with the asmodian's eyes, and for the first time in a game purple skin actually looks good IMO

Wow, I can't believe my gut reaction elicited such a response from an NCsoft representative.

Ok Ayase here it is. What no one has been willing to say. We want it. and we want it now. We are not willing for alll these beta tests to prepare us. Time is of the essence, we want a tangible product before Q2 2008 has ended. So please, I don't know how much influence you have but if the product we have heard about is available then do rush it. I have a feeling many people are willing to go through some trials to play a beautiful game. Don't make my prediction a reality.

NCsoft give us something to see, let us play, let us be part of a community again because we're ready and we need you to be as well.

Never been part of a CB or anything like that....how does it work? How do ppl get into CB? Just wondering, .

And what places did you visit in Greece Thecool444? Cuz I don't know if I believe you....you said you were in the guild Genesis before.....but you aren't so...

There's usually an application form somewhere on official sites of the games, or if you are an NCsoft customer already they sometimes invite us, you just check your account once in a while and there's a link to a beta application, but not always. And then if you're lucky to get invited you'll receive an email with code and directions on how and where to download the client.

There's also been contests on mmorpg.com and such sites to get into closed betas, basically keep your eyes peeled surf the net and you can find them ^^ Oh here's on my sources: Betawatcher.com - Online Computer Video Game Beta Testing Resource, those guys update all the time with news from any type of mmo.

Thanks for the link, Cynthe! It's really useful -- I've been looking for a site dedicated to betas. Although all other MMOs pale into comparison with Aion, it'd be a great help to have a little more diversity than having GW all day.

Thanks for the beta watcher link pretty good, and your right, I once got an invitation for Pirates Of The Carebbean Online (its a ****-hole when i was beta testing it, I dont know if they managed to pull it up a good game x'D)

At last found some time to post.
First of all i only got to play the game for an hour or less because im really busy these days.
About the game now.
With everything in an unknown language it took me a bit to get used to the GUI and stuff but when i figured everything out i tried to lvl.
Btw, i made a female Elyos and with graphics(probably in max settings) the game even in beta looks awesome.Minor graphical glitches here and there but nothing big that could ruin the fun.
So, i tried to lvl and i gotta say lowest lvl mobs die hard in comparison to other games i've played so far.I died 2-3 times maybe more maybe cause i didnt have any potions
There was nothing special to take screens of to show u,i was just running here and there at the starters area and i even used a random name like AionTest44554 (dont remember the number).
The gameplay was smooth i gotta say but the wasd movement way needs some polishing.The way the character move to the direction u want him to go is too "sharp".Too quick even.It just feels a bit weird for me.Maybe its just me.
I did see other ppl flying around me like maniacs but i didnt have the time to lvl up to 10 and do it as well.Maybe in open beta who knows :P
I wish i had more free time to play both of the 2h i was allowed to
Anyways.
Overall the game runs smooth,no major lags like L2 and the graphics look and feel 10 times better than videos and screens.
The game is gonna hit big imo.
Gtg now work,,work,worl :/

The only thing I took away from that movie (other then the great community they have going) is that you can indeed fall and DIE cause your wings died off, nice. I like.

Yea, it's really realistic. I wonder if you can fall and activate just a few seconds above ground to prevent falling damage.
