Your not alone...and I'm still curoiuse as to what a roxxor-kiddie is or w/e...
The main problem with guilds/clans/gangs is that if the leader or higher ups happen to be nyerkers...then there going to want to recruit more nyerkers...and so on and so forth, the hardest thing to do is to find a clan/guild with good people as the majority, I played a really old really ****ty game called Conqer a long time ago, and it was practically garbage except for the guild I hapend to join, I honestly only miss that game because of those people I befriended back there... __________________

As I said, I don't have anything against Nihilum, I never met them. And I'm not judging anyone before I haven't talked to him at least! Everybody has the chance to get personally on my sh*t list
![]() Same here with the articles, they are good written, great to read. The only thing is the 'fanboyismn' - the comunity of WoW! Sure there are quite a few of people (many) I enjoyed playing with (played until June last Year WoW - but I also played EVE, GW, EQ and UO) but the majority in WoW is a bunch of mindless kiddies, fallen from the stupid-tree and hit every branch on their way down! Seriously! Take a look at the official forums! It starts with the general opinion, that Dmg and position 1 in the 'Dmg-Meter' increases the size of their p*nis and ends with general discussions about people being 'flamed' because they are playing a game for fun and skilling a char they think it fits the most for them and aren't following the mainstream (--->Warriors who don't wanna tank and priests who aren't able to heal, because they skilled shadow). Those people can really mess up with a game! And in the case of Nihilum, they are the gods of rats, because they are successful. If Nihilum is saying 'We gonna play Aion' they say: 'Yay! Playing Aion as well is increasing my p*nis even more!!!1' |

I'm not in a position to say this as my opinion is bound to be subjective, but I'm a little bit disappointed by the level of discussion going on in here. The way you are treating some of these fellow anticipators is ultimately comparable to how many consider Aion to be "just another grinder".
We all know that generalization is bad, don't we? ![]() Edit: But indeed a good article, props to Nihilum for putting it together nicely. Last edited by Ayase; 01-16-2008 at 06:23 AM.. |

I don't know whats the problem here, they have a quite clear and nice article, they are a top WoW guild who will have to face many important clans from other games, they are drawing attention into aion, we all got the info from some place, I personally got it from checking my PlayNC account after E3 2006, but some others got it from other sources, coming from Wow or not, we all want well-informed people, and community is driven by its enviroment, if being cool is popular, people will try to be cool, if being a complete *** is popular, people will try to be complete asses, cause thats how we roll. Want to drive aion's community? bash asses and worship cool people, don't generalize.

.You put it much better though .Let's face it, there will be noobs, kiddies and elitists playing this game, but also skilled, nice and warm-hearted people. It's like that in every game, so let's try and emphasize (is that the word I'm looking for?) on that. |

But still then, I'll gonna take a closer look at the beginning. I'm more a roleplayer. Atmosphere in a game is on top of all. I don't care if I'm in a group with not so skilled players, as long as everyone is kind and has it's fun! In WoW I got so disappointed about the behavior of the players that I finally quit playing. |

No, I will not accept that defeatist attitude. There does not have to be some uber guild that does everything before everyone. If the game is designed correctly, there is no way any one guild can be "the best" or "on top", hence the PvP-balancing Balaur (pray to god the mods have balls enough to sic a massive amount of them on a "top guild"-held castle). As for PvE, if some guild starts taking every "first" achievement for themselves on whatever server I personally play on, I'll move. I do not want to play with organizations. I want to play with individuals.

Seriously, so what if this particular guild work this hard at gaming? Shouldn't we be happy such a large organization is taking an interest in Aion? It means support for a game we're all anxious for... So what if they want to be the best in PVE? First of all, it's PvE, second we don't even know if it's possible to get any ranks in the same way in Aion... It's not a defeatist attitude, -.- we're all gamers and we all do it in our way. If we're going to hate these guys, let's hate the premier guild in Guild Wars, and in L2 and whatever other game there is... Let's hate the Frag Dolls, oh wait we already do... This is the price of celebrity people, some worship you and others hate you. Sheez................ /sigh |

Played for more than fifteen minutes before uninstalling? One or two, maybe three or four, because scores of other **** me off within those fifteen minutes and I don't have that kind of time to waste. How many have I installed? Somewhere around 20, I'm guessing. Really rough estimate.
![]() I don't care about how OTHER MMOs work, people. They can go burn or rot someplace where I can't see them. I care about AION. AION doesn't have to be like everything else. It doesn't have to cater to a bunch of children or adults who act like them. It doesn't have to be a grind, it doesn't have to be easy. It doesn't have to be centered around guilds or loot. A game centered around the players is what I am looking for. |
