I remember that video where assassin killed a sorcerer before stun wore off.

The assassin/rogue classes tend to be overpowered in most mmos because of bad balancing manadgement.

It goes like; the class is designed to have good dps and a lot of disabling skills, and weak vs heavy melee, which is fine and logical.

But then they cry because their dps in pve is low, and get a dmg boost.

And then they cry because they are easy to kite, and get anti kiting stuff.

And then they cry about their low survivality and get some evasion or antispell skills/more hp.

In the end, we have a behemoth with highest dmg output, best cc and disable, very hard to kite and that can kill even heavy melees in a fair match, and 50% of population play that class.

Thats true for a lot of games.

Assassins should have high dps output, if not the highest dps of all the melee classes, BUT in return, they should also be fragile in taking hits, as in, they should be the class weakest in taking physical damage (except for the caster classes).

I believe this would force assassins to act like assassins (by being more sneaky rather than heading straight into combat) and truly rely on their stun/disabling skills.

well ive seen/learned that assasins are quite powerfull if u do it the guud way. even with the lolstealth u can pretty much fail heavely.
stun is ur best friend imo + using bandages whenever u got the option for em

Anyway, That's why PvP in MMO's kind of sucks, since people never stop cryng about balance issues once their butts get handed to them several times.

That's not necessarily a good thing. Sometimes it's better to ignore or everyone will think that what they say about stuff will immediatly be directed to a dev to change it. Can't work like that. Since Aion is still in tests I find it quite normal to see NCsoft's willingness in answering players feedback.
