Mark maybe it's, but maybe they are happy enough with feedback from Korean beta testers. To be honest i don't like idea getting some "tokens" because not everyone can go by himself around world for those preview events.

Sounds pretty vague for a "NO BETA" statement, it should be more clear.

so there will be no beta for those who doesn't go to some place on the other side of the planet?

and the closed beta will start 09 and not late 08?

There is still going to be a beta test. Just not called a beta test. If you read the info, these "Previews" are set up the exact same as any beta test would be.

as optimistic as i am, thats just not the way i read the press release... its clearly an event "in place of" a beta test...

but i agree, anything we concoct at this point is purely speculative... we need some NCSoft intervention here...

basically if you go to Leipzig you can enter competitions to earn a guarenteed spot in the preview.
if you cant go there then theyre supposed to be randomly picking people by thier e-mail.
also i think it says theyre giving away 200 a day from a certain date, not sure about that part.
(thats because some places it says 200 a day and some just say 200)

the fact they say its a preview and there isnt going to be an open beta can be view in a few ways but i personally think its more of a technical label then anything else.
like maybe its not going to be online it will just be one small area that you can play offline.
or maybe its going to be like what they did for tabula rasa pre-orders with the 3 day head start.
who knows..

The info about this issue is rather vague, looks like if they are releasing an idea before covering all of it, like, how much would those last, how many people are being invited aprox, and what not, right now, you get there will be previews, that people will access through some things, but it leaves us, fans who want to know everything, kinda sad in the pants.
