You mean channels? Morhiem and Belusian didn't have channels in C-Aion.
In fact while leveling to 34 on C-aion I didn't see a single bot until I was intentionally looking for bots. In Morheim they hung out in the area between the Klaw Habitat and Hot Springs. There's an inlet of rocks, snakes, harpees, etc that have no quests. It's just a mob clustered area. What we used to do is go into the Klaw Habitat and kite Queen Kint (level 39 elite) into that area forcing her to do our dirty work of self cleaning the bots. All in all, no players went to that area. Also in Morheim they farmed the flying bee things near the lake in the desert also up the cliff they farmed the armadillo looking mobs. That's where they stayed. Again, not in quest areas. The other area in Morheim was up near the entrance to Mist Mane Village. The tiny unicorn mobs and goat creatures. Again, not quest mobs, not quest hubs. In Belusian they were always in the area near the mossbears, but up the path no where near anyone. So you see, in C-Aion the botting happened, but no one cared because it didn't impact their own game play. We're dealing with dumber botters. Btw you thought our chat spam was bad. Logged into C-Aion to check on the price of a few thinks on the broker (to accurately gauge a price range/markup) and holy toledo. And it's in english lol. |

I love how the reason they give for not allowing addons is that they provide a person with an unfair advantage, I mean me colouring my actionbar in the hello kitty theme is worse than them not doing anything about bots?
lawl. I call ********, they just don't provide a addon api environment because they are crap programmers. They cover it up by saying they don't allow it. Yet we sit here 8-10 months later after the games first release and many patches later...and they still haven't done anything about the rampant botting (gameguard or not) and they still haven't done anything about providing an adon environment. Me thinks they purchased a cookie cutter mmo back end and just applied their own textures... They don't actually know how to deal with the code behind the scenes. |

I think Botting is much more tolerated in the eastern regions than it is in Western regions, so there was probably not much incentive to invest in a system to counter bots. However, they should still have anticipated how will things turn out after the Western launch.
They should take the route of World of Warcraft to solve the problem, create PvE instances at different level ranges. And let the Bots farm in instances where they are unseen by the players. The rest is composed of observing economy and controlling Kina spam. |

Sad to see my overclocked i7, 6gb ddr3 and ATI 4890 go to waste like this. Game breaking bug I would say. Game crashing bug. __________________ Sincerely, Dareios - Eminent Sanction Brigade General Need protection? Templar at your service. Join Eminent Sanction today! Our AionSource Legion Thread

Until it is fixed the answer to that question is a very large YES, honestly do you actually think any company will hurry to fix problems if they are not consistantly reminded they are there? I work in the computer industry, I have worked for large successfull companies, and I am first to say that if the gaming commuity did not post the problems over and over again, they would not have been addressed as fast as they were, if we had sat on our gaming butts and watched and waited for it to happen. Yep. Honestly I spend alot of time on these forums and I spend most of that time debating with people about how important the 'issues' they have actually are, I generally support this game.
But the crysystem.dll/crashing issue is something I feel needs a constant spotlight. |

My first month of this game, IMO was pretty Fun (my first MMO xP)
I never bothered about channel chat so spam bots didn't disturb me (not to mention block was there anyways, and if they whispered you, chances of them whispering again was next to none.) Legions were fun, groups were hella fun too! Bots here n there bugged me a bit, but nothing game breaking. We all were so happ GG was gone anways, so it was pretty much expected. Have GG back, less bots, more player QQ. I've yet to crash .... don't know why people are even crashing? So I can't say much here. [And yes I am in the abyss (I hear lots of people crash somewhere in here? Not sure) flying around.] My rig isn't the best, nor the worst. Grind... meh, so far so casual. I've felt worse on RPGs on consoles x_O. Graphics looks pretty to say the least x]. So to ME. This game is more happy face then sad face. Aion will see me again, but not anytime soon. Busy with other things in school these days... =[. |
