Today it's NCsoft hiring for their Brighton, UK office. Take a look and see if these positions are right for you!

We are in the process of extending our European Aion community team. We are looking for a few more dedicated, skilled, and community-oriented people to join us in our European office located in Brighton, United Kingdom. Any of these positions lets you get involved with Aion and work with one of the coolest gaming communities that there is. The community positions posted at the Jobs section of our NCsoft website include:

· Community Coordinator
· Community Coordinator (German)
· Community Coordinator (French)
· Community Manager (French)

How long before they make these positions redundant and move the jobs back the US like the City of Heroes community guys? NCSoft cleared out the Brighton office of everything except Sales & Marketing not that long ago....

Well as a EU player this is great news, I have had a player on my friends list who I found out was a bot recently and they have not been banned so far leveling from 21~35, decided to keep them on friends list to track if they get banned or not....hopefully the GMs will take care of this.

They didn't close the office. From what I understand, they moved the jobs they needed in one building to Seattle and left some UK-specific jobs in place in Brighton.

No Knite, they "laid" off a lot of people in the European office. Because of the outcry from the community Ayase was offered his position within the United States.

However I would highly recommend that people aim for another gaming company to join, if they really want to get into the gaming industry.

Aim for Blizzard, but if you want to join one of the worst in the industry along with Failcom and Sony, then NCBot West is the one for you *thumbs up*

The point remains, they didn't close it. That was the question. Whether or not you yourself agree with the layoffs, such things happen in a move like this. Jobs are made redundant. It sucks, but it happens in any industry. It doesn't make NCsoft any less successful. Blizzard has one successful MMO. Sure it's a big one, but NCsoft has many. I'd still trust them as my place of employment over a one-hit wonder.

But enough with the derailment- the jobs are there and offer a great opportunity to help the Aion community out. Best of luck to those who apply.

I think that working in Community is a terrific experience for anyone and the people interaction is both fun and character-building. You walk in with the innocence of a first year Bible student and come back out with +10 AC Stone Skin.

Jokes aside, it's a really cool job. I may not have done it for more than 2,5 years, but I haven't for a second yet regretted getting in here.

Just make sure that you do talk to your community more Ayase, getting another job title is great, however dont forget us as time passes.

Posting an application for this is really tempting, have been aware of the NCsoft offices in Brighton ever since I visited the same building a couple of years ago to pick up a replacement tax disc for my car that got lost in the post (I seem to recall that NCsoft was on the floor above the DVLA office? or maybe im just going mad..) I just never really concidered it as an option as a potential employer before.

Due to the fact that i am currently going through the consultaton process at work to find out if i am going to be made redundant from my current job I have already been keeping an eye on job vacancies in Brighton, so definately going to have to take a look into this!
