AionSource.com Grand Contest: Advertise Aion!

It's been a while since we've had one of these. Here's how it works: I ask for the community to do something. Whoever does it best in each category (in my humble, almighty opinion) has a chance to win. It's that simple.

There are six categories you can enter in, with one grand prize, one first prize, and four second prizes:

Fanart, fanvideo, fanvoice, fanfiction, fanlife, and lamefan.

Fanart: make a billboard advertisement or internet banner ad (728x90) for Aion and/or AionSource.com. Bonus points if it's easily alterable for multiple billboard or banner sizes. Preferably submit it in .psd form, but other editable forms are acceptable. Tag with "Fanart: [Username]" when submitting. Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course.

Fanvideo: make a video advertisement or commercial for Aion and/or AionSource.com. Bonus points if it's actually funny or extremely professional looking and only 30 seconds long. Preferably submit the highest quality (bitrate and resolution) available. Tag with "Fanvideo: [Username]" when submitting. Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course.

Fanvoice: make a radio advertisement or short podcast segment advertising Aion and/or AionSource.com. Bonus points if it's actually funny or extremely professional sounding and only 30 seconds long. Preferably submit it in a lossless format (such as FLAC) or the highest quality lossy format available. Tag with "Fanvoice: [Username]" when submitting. Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course.

EDIT: Songs are also acceptable submissions to the "Fanvoice" category, but consider making a "Fanvideo" entry with your song instead. It might do better in that category, but not necessarily.

Fanfiction: make an internet text advertisement for Aion and/or AionSource.com. Bonus points if you can catch someone's attention or explain why Aion and/or AionSource.com is awesome in two lines of 35 characters each, for a total of 70 characters. Tag with "Fanfiction: [Username]" when submitting. Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course.

Fanlife: do something awesome in real life with a direct and obvious relation to Aion and/or AionSource.com, like hang gliding while trailing a banner with the words "AionSource.com Rocks!" over some landmark. Bonus points if you get mentioned in any kind of local press, like newspapers. Tag with "Fanlife: [Username]" when submitting. Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course. Include some kind of proof, preferably photos.

Lamefan: email lamefan@aionsource.com with the subject "[Username] is a pathetic noob and fails hard." Substitute "[Username]" for your username, of course. Please spell everything correctly. You're automatically entered to win a second prize.

Tenative deadline for submissions is November 1st, pending the amount of submissions received by that date.

EDIT: You can submit one entry per category and you can send an updated version of your entry at any time (excluding the "Lamefan" category). If you do, please remember to use the exact same subject line as your first entry.

what if we got a fauxhawk to match our character and ultimately got 50 people in our school asking why. and explained aion and aionsource.com that's advertisement. though i dont believe more than 20 people actually looked it up.

Actually, if someone creates something truly wonderful in the FanArt category, i can print it out for professional use. I still own all my printing facilities and was able to keep them after the bankruptcy. Currently i can print anything up to 40"x80" on traditional canvas, extremely high archival (museum quality) watercolor paper, or with an "Eternal Archival Protection" process which encapsulates the art within a water-proof barrier.

My requirements to do so mean i need a digital copy of the work that is *NOT* enlarged (this is really key, i *MUST* receive a file that has been unaltered from it's original size).

To create large pieces i need something that is at least 10"x20" at a full 300 dpi. For smaller images i can work with 8.5"x11" 300 dpi. If anyone is interested in this, let me know. Normally my prints cost around $100-$300 to produce, but i'd be willing to donate a single winning image to the cause. (this is my production cost for ARTISTS ONLY.... the pieces generally sell for the neighborhood of $2,500 to $50,000 once completed)

Remember, this is a Fine Art facility that i run, so i do not make posters or quick prints, these are the real thing that you find in Museums and EXTREMELY high end Art galleries. To find out more about what i do: http://www.seraphimstudio.com/
