New "Player-submitted News" subforum...what?

So a new subforum magically appeared under "News and Announcements" and it seems to be governed by some supernatural power preventing you from just posting a thread and it magically appearing instantaneously like on every other forum here. What's going on? I'll tell you what. Sometimes news moves a bit slow around here on AionSource.com, normally because I'm too lazy to materialize some out of thin air. I know there's guilds and creative people out there that need a box to stand on and broadcast sometihing particularly interesting, like Elysium's podcasts. This special subforum is for those people.

If you have something important, something newsworthy, to post and it's not something I'm personally going to post anyhow, feel free to submit it. Of course, there are certain restrictions to your submission. Your submission can't contain a metric butt-ton of images or embedded content, and it has to be formatted cleanly (see some of my news posts for inspiration, excluding the most recent contest one with red lettering). You posts also have to have the [Player-submitted] prefix stuck on them. And even after all that work, there's one more hurdle for your submission to jump:

Moderation. Each submitted thread has to be approved by a moderator before it will even show up. In the process of approval, your submitted news may be edited beyond recognition. If your thread is never approved and instead is sent straight to the Abyss, naked and without a weapon, you will not receive a rejection PM from me. So only submit your news item once, lest you anger the sleeping god.

On a completely unrelated and unimportant side note to almost everyone on this forum: all you kOBT players, check your email now.

I don't like the idea, I hate subforums anyway.. when someone has a news to post he does that in the General Discussion and afterwards is being set here on the General news is good enough.. depends of the importance of the news ofc.

Actually this is an amazing idea, Mark. I'm getting sick of all the random cr@p a lot of people are posting just for the hell of it,a nd in some cases "spoiling" the whole Aion experience for everyone who's not in the KOB.

doesn't that completely take away from the fact that the Sub Forum is named Player Submitted News?
