While I want to reamin compltley open...I am swaying more to a Cleric.
However their apparent lack of offensive power is making me question this 'swaying' :P
Hopefully I can skill out on the offense to level then remove them and skill out on healing for endgame? Or just grind instances...woo ¬_¬
I don't know how the skill system works nor any spell lists that exist so don't hold anything I have said as how Aion will be :P There may be no skill specs here...

I will try both classes. But my 1st and main calss with be cleric as they are more suited to strong heals and raid/group pvp healing is my strong suit. Chanter will most likely be my 2nd class.

Well, in terms of joining a party, i would have to say cleric because they are needed more in most occassions than chanter...so i'm probably going with cleric

Chanter i think, i used to play a Shaman on DAoC, and i liked the buff-heals-and damage thing

I'm gonna have to go with Chanter myself. In EQ2 I was a defiler and really enjoyed the buffs and heals that came with the class. In WoW I enjoyed the paladin, even though it wasn't my main I liked the class a lot. The videos I've seen seem that the chanters are right up my alley.

It depends on the duration of the buffs and how useful a Chanter will be. Right now, I'm leaning more toward the Cleric.

Chanter baby! MP Regen Aura, Run speed aura, lots of nice def and hp boost buffs. Heals, dmg spells. Ressurestion as well. Oh yeah, chanter is what i want.

I haven't really decided yet... I've always liked healing and such, but... sometimes... it's not really necessary, and... variation is a good thing. Still, I love healing and supporting classes way too much to give them up - I just like the feeling that I'm helping people, I like to buff/heal random people I come across and when they actually say thanks back, it just brings a smile to my face.

Right now I think I will make both, with a chanter main and a cleric alt... This because I am a bit more oriented towards pvp than pve, and chanter just sounds like a wonderful class to play in pvp, with a lot of versatility. Helping kill when on the offensive, falling back into a supporting/healing roll when on the defensive... It just sounds so attractive in my head...

Really though, I'd like the idea of buffing the group and then just going to town on the mobs with my Mace/Shield or Staff. Besides, a dead mob means I don't have to do any more healing! XD

I'm just hoping that the buffs a Chanter offers give a noticable amount of bonuses and that they won't need to be reapplied every few minutes.

I like to play the main healing classes so I think I'll go cleric. Chanter looks very intriguing though, I think I'll try both.
I just hope the chanter isn't underpowered.
