Cleric or Chanter

Chanter. I think that they may have more offensive power than a cleric, due to buffs, and will still be wanted in teams. In a team, you could swap from defensive&healing to offensive if needed, and still be effective, at least from what I've read.

Almost all healing and little offense is something I dread, so Cleric is basically off my list.

Cleric 100% sure. I want to be the strongest healer there is. Can bring a chanter for buffs and a cleric for heals.

I get the feeling that every group is going to want one of each. I have a hard time believing that a chanter will be able to main heal a group, but I think the buffs and backup healing/damage will be quite useful.

I roll a healer to heal. Cleric is most certainly my healer of choice. If I'm picking a role to play, I wanna be darn good at it.

Chanter is my favorite so far, but it's kinda hard to tell without actually playing (for me anyway).

Most likely Cleric, to be THE best healer. Although Chanter is very interesting and its pretty versatile and will probably always be wanted in a party.

In the new class videos they showed the Chanter buffing & doing melee dps in a group (or raid?). The Cleric was doing what looked like buffs, though they could very well be group heals, while a summon was doing caster dps.

I'm going cleric because as stated, for a healer, pure heals are the way to go. The chanter looks awesome, and depending on how they roll out in the future, I might switch. As of right now though, I am planning on going straight up Cleric.

Battle mage for teh win! ^_^ I mean seriously. Chanters just blow me away at their versatility. It fits the character I want to create and I think a Chanter would make a good Guild/Legion leader. *Sage nod*

I'm 99% going chanter because in so many games buffs are extremely important in pvp/raid groups(think L2) and I can throw down a little melee DPS at the same time.

I'm still debating whit my self if I wanna run Chanter or Cleric. I normally will play a cleric but the chanter seems mighty applying as well. I guess I roll one of each and find which flow the best whit my play style

In all sincere honesty, I'll be dead-beat if Cleric's have primary buffs as well since then the Chanter's necessity in parties becomes questionable.
