oh god, that 25-30 min boss fight, lol, yeah hes epic XD, looks like one of the demons from Devil May Cry teehee. The music was ok in that video.

So that's supposed to be a raid encounter (read: for 24 players) but he's so terrible boring and easy that he can be done by 5 players?

I mean... yeah... talking about easy-mode raid encounters that don't require any strat.

PS: No, I'm generally not negative at all towards Aion. But this isn't really the interesting pve-content i was looking for. :/

Mmm the 5 man thing was a hasty observation (could only see 5 players for the first minute when I watched it)

The boss looks impressive.

I'd like to see more complex boss battles than tank and spank down the road though. For those of you that played WoW, Magtheridon or Gruul (since they where mentioned) all had some battle mechanics that kept the fight challenging and fun. I'd like to see similar mechanics implemented

that's not a raid guys... that's a 6 man dungeon boss. Pretty sure it's Theomobos for Elyos.

and if I remember right, you can cheesy the encounter by dragging him away from that platform tank him in a corner. His aoe attacks are confined to that platform :P

Seems to be a three point play from what the video showed, impressive graphics and animations from the boss. The tank died - that is a no no, more so due to ranged DPS not adhering to LoS + distance to target to healer, and hence forth the cleric requiring more mana used on ranged than would be needed. (less to heal the tank with) Poor performance by the video recorder by running upto the encounter to loot/check items before the party is recovered. I did enjoy watching the effects and attacks of the boss to each party member shown on screen, that shows some interesting AoE spells and mechanics to be learnt and avoided with timing and effects from the said encounter.

If group/raid PvE is your thing and you can't stand tank and spanks, don't even bother installing, I'm serious.

Might as just well get it through your heads now that scripted boss fights don't exist in Aion (up to 1.2 anyway), and move on, enjoying the game for everything else it has to offer.
