True story, but it's not like doing the quests prevents you from socializing with others while you're grinding away, solo or otherwise. I shoot the isht with my guildies over vent all the time while grinding, it helps make the game, you know, fun.

How thick are you? Obviously i expect to get rewarded when i participate in raids etc, dont you? But you are right in that you really are starting to nyerk me off. I cant help that you inerpret it as: I want free epic in my mailbox eveytime i enter an instance.

And for the record i do have a crafted level 45 attackspeed weapon. Your advice is as usual worthless to anyone but a complete newbie.

That isn't how I'm interpreting it at all, but thanks for reading my mind again. What I am interpreting it as is this: "The chance at rare and powerful loot isn't enough/takes too much effort, so I want to be given that loot just for playing the game". That goes against the very foundation of RPG's - the more powerful/rare something is, the more/harder you have to work to get it (it's the whole reason why efficiency is so prized in this genre).

Exploring game content, running around wasting your time, etc, is a good way of having fun playing this game, and I do it too, but I don't have the unrealistic expectation that I will be receiving powerful items for doing so. Thinking such things will only leave you disappointed and resentful... case in point.

I've plainly stated that i dont want a wellfare loot system yet you still refuse to see it. I think you are beyond reasoning with at this point. Handing out gold to someone who's only merit is that he can bot/farm/rmt like a monkey is what i am against. If coins were given out trough other means such as isntances, dredgion, forts etc it would atleast take some form of skill or game knowledge to do it. I dont know why you think its 'free' loot if you get coins from dark poetta etc but its hard earned well deserved loot when solofarming level 46 scorptions.

You provided one piece of evidence ever in an argument that did nothing but prove that Sorcs are capable of doing 5k+ damage with a Lightburst; it only refuted a single argument out of nearly a dozen that were going on in a single thread out of many (i.e. your hyperbole is utter drivel).

Of course, the skill was later tested and it turns out Lightburst is dealing far more damage than it should due to some bug in the game mechanics, so it's difficult to blame me for challenging you to prove me wrong when I had the mechanics on my side. These two parts of the post go hand in hand. You have stated on multiple occasions variations on the theme of "the game pretty much requires you to grind out 2k+ platinum coins". You have steadily backpedaled on this argument as I provided more and more evidence that you were mistaken, until we've gotten to the point that you now refer to it merely as your opinion. However, it ought be noted that your opinion cannot serve as evidence for an argument, and an argument you have most certainly made (you've just run out of evidence to support it).

Regardless of your exceedingly negative bias on everything I've ever seen you comment on on these forums, you are welcome to your opinions, especially if you keep them to yourself. However, if you try to pass your opinion off as fact, or your opinion is based on faulty reasoning, expect someone (if not necessarily me) to point that out for you. This is a forum after all; arguing and discussing things is what we do.

you will have to kill THOUSANDS of keep guards/players in a pvp environment where other players can kill you! that coin quest is too easy.

Notably you can do this for the blues too, in case you don't feel like saving up 1-2k per piece. 200 coins for a nice level 45 blue isn't a bad deal if you don't have the patience to grind for the golds.

~4mil worth of kinah for a crappy blue is a pretty bad deal if you ask me.

I don't know about the other classes, but all of the cloth blue pieces are awful.

They're quests that you would likely end up doing anyways just to finish out the grinding on your current level (you'll be lucky to make 20-30% of a level off of quests and instance runs post-45). While the exp isn't quite as good as soloing, it's tough to argue with the free rewards you get for every turn-in.

If you bear in mind the facts that you average out roughly 5-7 coins per turn, that each turn-in nets you ~2M exp, and that 45-50 requires roughly 500M exp in all, it's not difficult to imagine a situation in which you could end up with 200 coins simply from doing the things you would be doing anyways. The gear isn't necessarily great, but if gotten this way, it's essentially free.

Another thing to bear in mind is, even though the gear itself isn't the best out there, you can still disenchant it. A level 46 blue can net you multiple level 60+ enchantment stones if you're lucky, and that is very much worth it if you're still using Xenophon/Betoni's weapon.

Armor is not that great but its ok, we can compare it with.....
Shulack Pirate's Tunic - - Aion (drops from Grogget, good luck at lvl 45)

Expert Linon Tunic - - Aion (roughly 3.5 million on AH on my server)

I mean, I can see the different pieces, but I don't know how many coins it is for which :/

Yes, yes we did. Seems I attract people like that wherever I post on these forums.

If you search for "legionary level 3", all of the pieces should pop up under the search engine. All 5 of the armor pieces cost 1000 coins apiece (which I think is silly, either the boots/gloves/shoulders should cost less or the legs/chest should cost more; but eh, not my game); the weapons all cost 2000 coins apiece.

The blue rewards also pop up on that list; they run 200 for armor and 400 for weapons.
