Legendary & Hero Boss Faction Balance?

I was trying to eye up all the PVE "boss types" for end game, so looking up all the level 44+ bosses/heroes/whatever. First the legendaries:

Aion Armory list of Legendaries
5 in Heiron (Elyos) [think all drop gear above level 46, 1 drops level 50 gear]
0 in Beluslan (Asmos). Yes, really, zero :O
1 shared in Abyss.

There seem to be no legendary bosses at all on any of the Asmo maps, with 5 on Elyos maps (one of which isn't even attackable for rifting Asmo's - Bollvig is purely Elyos only).

If you go down to "Hero" level bosses, again at level 44+ hero's, you'll find;
Aion Armory list of Heroes

20 in Heiron (Elyos) [11 that drop gear of level 46+]
11 in Beluslan (Asmos) [0 that drop gear above level 45]

(not counting Abyss or Dark Poeta, since obviously they are for "both")

Am I missing something dead obvious, like, there's a horde of bosses and AA just doesn't have it and I haven't seen them, or do Elyos faction basically get a hell of a lot more bosses than Asmos (and thus "easier" access to phat lewts)?

Well if you REALLY want our phat lewts you can Rift here with a group and come take them. I mean at lower lvls Ive had groups to go rifting to kill your crab and so on.

Heres the bosses that matter:

Menotios (Abyss Core, Attackspeed weapons)
Zapiel (Heiron, Extendable attackspeed polearm)
Alukina (Beluslan, Extendable attackspeed 1hers)

No other boss drops loot that is worth mentioning. It's even. Elyos get ****** bosses in Heiron that drop trash, who cares?

Here comes the level 30 that thinks bosses who drop absolutely trash items are a huge deal.

Well, I care actually. That was kind of the point of making the thread. I cared enough to make a thread, therefore, I care. And perhaps there are other people that care - likely they will of course be Asmos, not Elyos - I wasn't looking for, nor expecting, "pity" from anyone, least of all Elyos on a thread where I am basically saying "hey look, I found something Elyos get a better deal in" (I'm sure there are numerous things Asmos get a better deal in, and anyone feeling hard-done by on those things can go make a thread themselves).

Looking through the loot tables, there's a hell of a lot of items that would be an upgrade for me from most of those bosses. Simply pretending no other items exist in the game, and that everyone (and every class) wants nothing but the items from those 3 bosses you linked, is a somewhat horse-blinkered view. I like to upgrade my gear to better versions - this includes accessories, and armour... not just my melee weapons. Any upgrade is an improvement, and any improvement is good. Elyos seem to have many more of those opportunities to hand, when it comes to these boss mobs. And this was the point of my thread.

+1. wish elyos had easy access to alukina. asmos can just walk there easily, elyos have to take some retarded rifts and walk 15 mins to see its not up half the time because asmos can check it easily.

****, elyos have to walk farther than asmos most of the time to get to zapiel as well, since they can rift to nute warrens and train there easily.

Asmos have native access to Draupnir Cave, that makes up for any and all crappy worldbosses Elysea may have in a heartbeat. Not only do we have to use a rift to gain access to your Balaur instance, but we have to use both our rift and your rift to gain access to our own Balaur instance, as well as the stomping grounds for level 48 soloable elites.

You have it far easier than we do in the lategame. Next.

Pushing towards 50 (we're currently at kill #44) Alukina kills now, my guild has gotten her every single time except for twice and I was present when the other guilds killed her...we have gotten ONE weapon to drop. Which was an orb...

So yea.


And is that DC comment a freaking joke? Are you saying that the instance is better because of the drops or what? Because I've done that instance over 20 times now, I saw a gold my first run...not one since. In fact...I have gotten two world drop golds in the instance...and only seen one from the named.

Absolutely not a joke. With a good group being able to skip roughly 75% of the instance, it becomes the single fastest way in the game to down high level raid bosses for gold drops. Only with 1.5's introduction of DP's Anuhart sets and the Miragent/Fenril sets has the utility of DC for endgame loot been lessened.

Besides, I fail to see how your awful luck with boss drops is any reflection on the fact that you have easier access to those bosses (not to mention the entire bloody instance) than we do.

Menotios is equally accessible to both factions, so the real issue here comes down to Alukina vs. Zapiel.

Alukina - Level 46 Hero - Drops gold level 44 extendable, attack speed weapons, as well as various trash blues.
Zapiel - Level 48 Legendary - Drops gold level 48 attack speed weapons, shield, and breastplates.

Zapiel has a vastly superior loot table, with higher item levels and better itemization in general--which makes sense, being that it's a legendary boss. Alukina's weapons are only valuable because they are extendable, and have bizarre stats (+MP on each one). Most of the time, when she drops any loot at all, it's one of the trash blues.

There is no comparison here.

I'm not sure why Elyos are being so defensive, when it's well-established that the Elyos faction has several substantial advantages over Asmodians due to errors or oversights in game design--e.g. level 42 skill books, stigma quests, gold weapon quests, etc. etc. Why is it so hard to swallow the fact that the Elysean world bosses are also superior to and more plentiful than the Asmodian?

Alukina weapons are superior outside of the polearm. Just because they're lower level and have MP means nothing, no amount of stats makes up for being extendable.

I'm sure you try to play off any faction you play in any game as the victim with your logic.
