does level matter?
for example you are level 50 and rank 9. if you go against a level 30 rank 2 soldier, do you still get AP? thanks

When I first saw the rank system of Aion the first thing which came up my mind was: GUNBOUND!

My main problem with the system has nothing to do with the mechanics of it. Where will I find the time to get in the top 10 ranks ?! Back when WoW had the honor system I got up Rank 10 by reducing my sleep time, getting up extremely early, and pvp'ing till my eye's bled. It's not an experience I'd like to repeat...........

Yes you do. I have a level 27 assassin in C-Aion with Rank 6 and i have level 40s and 30s coming after me cuz I have rank 6 and they have 8 or 9.

This is the first time I've even looked into the whole ranking things. By positions do they mean only that many people will have that rank?

By the way, is there similar system to wow's diminishing returns with abyss points? So yo cant farm your friend to exploit the system...(probably asked already but didnt read very well )

No you can't farm your friend. If your Eylos you have to kill asmo for the AP points. Plus if you a higher rank then them you get less abyss points. On my lvl 27 assassin in C-Aion is a "Grade 6 soldier" and when I kill a grade 8 or 9 I get like 5 abyss points a kill >>

So there can only be one "badass" per faction/per server. Question, you can always "replace" these guys if you get more points?better ratio? or is it once someone has reached that mark you get to keep the title forever?

Looking at this, it reminds me of the old WoW lvl 60 PvP system, the one i LOVE!!! even tho it took loads of time, it was so fun farming new ranks ;D

You can replace the guy with getting more points then them.
