Yes, guilds can defend keeps. While the attackers are trying to break down the doors, defenders are reinforcing the doors. Not sure exactly what types of siege weapons defenders might get (most likely ballista-style things on the walls), but there are siege weapons in the game. Keep sieges are pretty tactical for both sides.

Once a legion conquer an area, is that area accessable by the entire race? or only the said legion that conquered it to begin with?

By area, I take it you mean a Keep? The ownership of the keep goes to whoever does the most damage to the Guardian. If the most damage was done by a member of a guild, that guild gains ownership of the keep. But the rewards for killing the Keep Guardian and capturing the keep go to all who attended. The guild that gains ownership however, gains bonus spoils, and can set taxes on the NPC vendors that spawn in the Keep (Abyss item vendors, which are very popular end-game). The entire race can enter the keep and purchase items from the vendors, but the ownership guild gets a cut from all profits made by the vendors. If the guild wanted to make it so no one used the vendors, they could theoretically jack the tax rate up to the maximum, to dissuade people from buying from those vendors (but I don't know why they would do that)

If the highest damaging source on the Guardian was not guilded, the keep is owned by the entire race, and no one can adjust taxes on the vendor, or gain a cut percentage from profits made. It just stays at default tax rate until the next turnover.

Thank you very much for this...I had similar questions that have gone unanswered in the Q&A forum, so really appreciate this. Mainly I was concerned that our Rank 1 guild of 6-10 players would not ever have the chance of participating in sieges and getting any benefits from it...but now if we can at least get everybody focused on the guardian there's a small chance even a small guild can win out on a castle, hehehe.

Can anyone confirm that getting to general will be tough and we wont see a bunch of scrubs running about in "god mode" or having the ability.. that would be a pity

The General ranks are very time-consuming to obtain. Random scrubs won't be able to obtain these ranks. They go to the most active, and most successful pvpers on each race per server. These people will have to maintain their ranks upon achieving them, also. I.e. it takes about 500,000 abyss points to qualify for 5-star Officer. Even if you have that many APs, if there are more people with even more points than 500,000, you might not even get the 5-star Officer rank. Only certain number of people can achieve each rank. It's based on a tier system, sort of like RF Online's Race Leader and Archon ranks. Even if you have the points required, you still have to be higher than the lowest ranked of whatever tier rank you want to obtain. Hope that makes some sense
