Are any other Asmodians upset by this?

The two biggest MMORPGs out there right now that specifically place you on one alliance or the other are, CoH/CoV, and WoW. I have played Heroes, Villains, Alliance and Horde extensively, and I have to tell you folks.. There are immature players on every side!
There will always be the "LOL OWNED U" jerk who kills you unfairly, and there is always the little kid who just doesn't know how to play, but likes to brag that he does.

I just wanted to see if any other Asmodians are also hurt by fellow gamers who are dying to play this game bashing us Asmos in more ways than I feel like bringing up. :[

That's crap. Immature kids on specific races/factions is false.

There will be opposite race bashing, like Elyos players stating that Asmodian players are kids, or vice versa. That's in every game and it's VERY common to see, especially among PVPers. I could see in a game where there were multiple races, someone could just dislike the way a race looks and how they seem to come off. Example would be, "I don't like night elves, they are cowards and look goofy". That's different, but in a game where there are just two player factions, I don't see much room in race bashing. Naturally, whatever faction you play, you will end up probably bad mouthing the opposite faction, because they are the enemy and the competition, that's just natural.

People tend to get way too flustered over internet games, especially in player versus player gameplay. LOL OWNED U type of people are everywhere, and generally, people that do thing's like that make up a big portion of the games population. In general, who cares if someone trash talks over the internet, because it means so little. I'm sure if you become well known and some newbster ganks you while you're afk, you might get some crap about it, but people who are actually serious about flaunting about some tiny PK are just stupid.

Being a better player doesn't mean playing a certain faction or race. There will be great/mature players on both factions, I can give you a 100% guarantee.

Wow, I read back on some of the things I said, sorry I was so harsh, I was just in a crappy mood all weekend, I shouldn't have taken it all out on forums. I feel like an idiot. But can you PLEASE type in something slightly more visible, highlighting it just makes it harder for me to see.

I definetly am gonna be playing as asmodian, but the one thing i don't like about beind asmodian is that I like the way the elyos forests looks better, (o well we'll just have to take thier land) but I don't think that more lamers are gonna be attracted to asmodian or elyos. I just think that certain classes are gonna be filled with them first, like assassins and gladiators.

I have read somewhere its not that the Asmodier are "evil" its really because of their lack of sunlight. Since the Eylos have the sunlight everything stays normal but since the Asmodier do not, their landscape, skin, styles etc. change. Its more or less adaption to the enviorment and the Asmodier have to live with the very little sunlight they have. Although I'm not lying this happens in real life too I will look for the link or article that states it.

P.S try to remember that the Eylos and Asmodier were in the middle of beginning to be allies, but the Krall came into picture and did something having to do with the tower of eternity... and now there war.

Nothing you said there classifies the Asmodian into being "evil".. I'm sorry your argument is simply that they are darker for their lack of sun, this is true.. But it doesn't make them evil, its just ying and yang. :]

I believe the lightdwellers are just afraid of darkness which clearly createst the illusion of granted evilness from those who cope with the lack of stellar lighting. 'sides you see all tons of pixie sparkliness in the Asmodian areas so there's different kinds of light on that side.

Actually don't know where this talk of dark skin comes from, the way i see the concept art atleast it's more or less pale/light grey colored rather than anything close to dark purple. Regardless in-game everyone can choose their characters skin color how they please, having a tanned Asmo as plausable aswell as a purple skinned Elyos. And I believe the only way to get a tan RL is to bathe in the sun for hours, but you won't be needing that for an Asmodian, just.. Good genes? oO

And thanks Kitten for changing the colour of your font. It's your choice really what colour you want to use, but it's just good internet etiquette to use easy to use and pleasing colour combination. I sure hope this game won't turn out like WoW (alliance vs horde). The talk about being more pro then another side is childish.

The reason why I want to be elyos is due to the wings and the fact I dislike the enviroment asmodians start with (I do however think they look cooler^_^)

Kitten, ya got a point I guess, but at the end of the day If Asmo is you're style of gameplay, then play it, and drop as many Elyos as you can ingame hah =]. In my opionion I think Asmo will be a MUCH funner race to play, dark magic ect =P Anyone who is saying Asmo is for immature people ect, are proberly gonna be the peoplee who get level 25, get owned by us in pvp, then end up re-rolling and making a Asmo theirselfs heh! =] We shall see i guess! x

I usually don't care what people are thinking about asmodians. But then again I don't take many things serious.

I chose asmodian because I just like their world and how they look. I guess it's just the artist in me that likes how the asmodians were done. For ME (I emphasize it to prevent any useless discussion) they're just something different unlike the elyos that basically look like humans with wings.

And they're fun to draw ^_^
