When I started World of Warcraft (Horde), I was told Gnomes can be very hard to target. However, never did I ever have a problem targeting and stomping a Gnome into the dirt or at least leave my boot mark on their faces. |

My character is short by general standards, but not midget sized. I like it that way (I dont personally like the way characters look when their leg length is shortened all the way), she is 'child sized' I suppose is accurate, but proportional. I dont believe it gives me any advantage or disadvantage in PvP, I suppose if youre the only short one in a mass zerg of larger characters it might make you more difficult to single out, but I think in the long run height is irrelevant. And I was under the assumption that tab targeted the closest target to you, then the next closest, etc. though I may not be correct on that one. __________________ ![]() 'You don't need a bed, you'll be dead by morning.' And what you described is perfectly fine. But case in point, tonight, I saw a toon named 'Buggar' (ill never forget this guy) who was as small as you are allowed to make it. My character is of normal height. I didnt mess with it at all. This guy... litterally ran below my kneecaps. It wasnt a 'the top of his head was at my kneecaps'. I mean, it was 'the top of his head was halfway up my calf'. Really? I followed him around just to watch him. He looked like one of those things from back in the day where you would throw this little piece of... whatever it was... onto a cookie sheet and then into the oven. Just to watch them grow into a large version of whatever it was. Except this guy never grew. __________________

To sum it up:
Ppl that suck at pvp go for small chars, otherwise they'd die too quickly, and ppl that actually do have aim(like me) have no problem targeting small ones. |

The only actual logic in this thread is coming from people who play/like small chars. Everyone else just seems to be in an emo-rage because they don't like them "lol u suks". Pretty pathetic. I made my char cause it's really fun to play, yes my char name is Primarytarget as a novelty. The biggest pvp scrubs in this thread are the ones who say they target smaller chars first, cause they are small! lol, you'll win alot of pvp fights there. GL winning fights with your emo-rage glasses on, really funny.

I have a mini character, I can't say I care if anyone targets me first. Anyone who would go after me simply because I'm small is probably a terrible player anyway, as I'm not a healer, and it is thus a fruitless endeavour.
Unless you like to tunnel DPS while they get healed that is, rofl ![]() |

It provides an advantage in certain situiations.
You can choose to be a gamer and grab every advantage you can get, ignoring aesthetics. or You can choose to be a dirty roleplayer and care about how your character looks, while being an easy target to click select for branding in zerg situations. Its up to you. Just be honest about why you made the choice and don't rag on the people who are more driven or relaxed then you are about winning ![]() |

Characters have the same box size. You can easily click a big character as a small character. And if you need to click to target your nearest target you seriously need to l2p. If you are ranged on the other hand and you are not assisting in zerg situations as you say....then again you need to l2p. So by all means be a failed gamer and pick for the wrong justification for the wrong decisions. I will be a roleplaying gamer and still enjoy the look on my character while pawning your head to the ground. |

I hope whoever is picking targets for my enemy is as dumb as you. Fail-tabbing through 30+ people is one of the more amusing things I have heard people coming up with here. It sounds like something someone who has only experianced silly little instanced WoW-PvP would come up with. Being small saves you in one time and place only - when there are 30+ other people around you and the person calling targets needs to leave on char-models for fast identification and needs to click to pick out the targets straight away, because you can be damn sure the other team is going to have someone click-targeting/branding your healers for immediate spike attacks (while you’re still fail-tabbing through the enemy tanks). I don't want to make a habit of zerging, but I accept that the occasional zerg-surfing is going to be a requirement and in this situation the team of little people will have the advantage, as the other side’s competent target branders will be less likely to spot them first and more likely to notice the GIANT healer rolled by someone dribbling about aesthetics. It has nothing to do with game mechanics and everything to do with human perception Last edited by Nicholai; 10-20-2009 at 04:03 AM.. |
