Roah vs Asteria

My server has yet to capture a Upper fort yet, but we are definetly on the brink of it.. we have attempted roah 3-4 times now and no luck due to interferences etc.. We haven't tried Asteria though, so I was wondering if you guys think Asteria is easier than Roah? I know the middle 3 are toughies themselves, we did krotan for the hell of it while waiting for sulfur last night and it took us 20 min on the damn door, then boss wiped us at like 90% lmao. Any advice?

Noone has a anwser? Really?

Honestly, not sure which is easier. All I know is our Elyos were the second to capture an upper layer fort in NA and it was asteria. I can't imagine them being different or anything though

Both of them are equally valid for terrain use, but Asteria may be a bit easier for people to get the hang of with that little room in the middle enabling AoE dodging. There's good vantage points for ranged DPS at each fort, though, so neither should prove particularly challenging so long as you have the levels to run it.

isnt luminel the RP server??? i suggest stop RPing and hardcore level for a bit. much easier when you are 40+

The first upper fort on my server that was taken by players was Asteria, but that's because Asteria has a tendency to go vulnerable for 4 hours straight. There isn't much of a difference in difficulty between the two, but Asteria is way cooler looking.

Not only is Asteria easier, you can "avoid" two of its AoE attacks with creative use of the terrain.

The other AoE's you can avoid, like all, by simply communication and whoever gets targeted moving the hell out of the group(s).

Efwan, you guys have attempted Roah? I didn't know that, I thought Asmodians just wanted the bottom tier.

The elyos have had the attempts, and we have always been the interference, and tonight they finally succeeded with 18 minutes left, we took sulfur first and then by the time we got there (1 hr 20 min left on vul), boss was already at 50%. Was a damn good battle though to the end, even though we were outnumbered 5 to 1

Yeah I know about the Elyos having the attempts, I've been there. I thought you were talking about the Asmodian's attempting it though =P. Shame I wasn't there tonight though when we finally got it.

our server had its first 3 upper abyss captures this weekend(Asteria,Roah then Asteria again)

All I can say from being at all 3; Asteria boss has more hp but his aoe hurts more while Roah's boss has more hp but his aoe isnt as bad.
