Abyss Quest: Middle of Abyss

Was wondering how you can get into the center of the abyss (ya know.. inside the fireball?) without dying. If i remember correctly, the next part of my quest was to meet someone in there. Has anyone figured out how to do this?
I tried looking it up but couldn't find any helpful results.

you have to fly down from the middle of the top layer.

thanks - i didnt try that one yet. i've actually never tried going to the top layer.
