It's ok buffinita dear, I've added the bits for launch and retail key adding. Sorry I should have been more specific, it's typical me Just so you know, there is a checklist coming out that will refer to this guide so you may get a number of visitors here (and hopefully some more thanks!)

Hello all.
At the moment my account is still a beta type as I have only added an open beta key to my NCsoft account.

My issue is:
I pre-ordered a physical box standard edition. The collector's edition was not available when I ordered. They have issued me with a pre-order code for preselection, headstart and in game items. The collector's edition physical box became available so I decided to order it. I don't have a pre-order code for its preselection, headstart and in game items. If I use the standard edition code and use then collector's edition code afterwards (when it is delivered through my letterbox)can I still access pre-selection, headstart AND get the COLLECTOR'S EDITION in-game items when the game goes live?

Anyone have any idea?

since you have the preorder code from the SE you can participate in headstart.

now you have some options:

1) do not pick up your SE box, or cancel the order ( this will save you money). There is no need for the SE box if you ordered CE box since CE perks > SE perks. Just pick up your CE box and apply the retail code

2)pick up SE box and CE box; only apply code from CE box to your account. Sell SE code to a friend.




applying both SE code and CE code is a waste of money

But if i enter a regular key, then i'll still get the bonus items?

yes; unfortunately preorder bonus items will not be available until sept 22nd.

Yeah I wasn't going to buy both. Cancelling the standard edition

There are 3 types of codes

1 beta codes which are useless now
2 pre-order codes
3 Preselection/headstart/in-game item codes.

My account has a beta code only.
I have a Preselection/headstart/in game item code for the standard edition but not the collector's which I have only just ordered. I would like to preselect and have the headstart but I would also like to have the item from the collector's. I don't want to add the code if it means I can't get the collector's items when the game is launch. I can't seem to find any information about what would happen one way or the other.
The only thing that I could find out is that you can't add two different pre-order codes to get multiple rings.

Will the CBT/OB client work for retail? I'm all patched up so I assume its good to go but just making sure. Or do I have to re download the client? Thanks not sure if this is the correct thread to post in or not.

you can use the preselect code you have from the SE preorder; as i understand pre order keys are not tied to any kind of SE/CE retail account. So you can participate in the preselection on friday and head start on sunday.

Apply the preselection key from your SE preorder, then pick up your CE box and apply the CE retail key. you will be all set.

in game items will not be available until the 22nd

you can use the OB client for release; i assume there will be a minor patch but there is no need to redownload/install the whole game
