I have a bit of a problem with this particular part:

If you ordered from any other source than NCsoft/Steam you will only have a preorder account. This is because you do not have a retail key yet. When you pick up your box (or receive your retail key via e-mail) on the 22nd; 25th if EU; there will be a retail key inside. You must apply this key on the 22nd, 25th if EU, or you will not be able to play past that date until the key is applied.

I ordered my game copy from amazon.co.uk on 10th of September and this is what it says on the "Open orders" page:

Delivery estimate: 6 Oct 2009 - 12 Oct 2009
Dispatch estimate: 24 Sep 2009

Does this means that, since I won't be able to apply the retail key on 25th, I won't be able to play until I actually receive the game? Not to whine, but it's like 2 weeks - all my friends will out-level me. Or could that info on Amazon's page be incorrect? Since Ayase stated that they are working with retailers so that players get their games on time.

I know I should have ordered the digital copy, but I really wanted to have a box, CD, booklets.. all that stuff. Also, canceling my order and purchasing in shop won't work, either - shops will only get the game in October, too (we actually don't even have specialized game shops here where I live).

So I'm sort of confused about what should I do :/

unfortunately; I dont know how shipping works from amazon.com to Latvia. Your best bet is to contact amazon directly and ask about the shipping date. Once you receive a response from amazon relay the information to ncsoft and see if anything can be done

Can I still purchase a head start key and use it to log in today? I can't find aion in stores.

if you live in EU maybe........

if you live in NA no; servers are live and on official release, you can not preorder (you may find keys at stores but i have no idea if they will work or not)
