So, how many people are playing Ranger?

Ranger doesn't seem to be the most popular class if you ask me, but I wanna know, who else wants to take the role of the Ranger when Aion goes live?

I am -- particularly because it's been some sort of tradition to me. I've been considering other classes as well, but I won't disclose them at this time.

I will be also, I usually play ranger as my main in most MMO's. The rangers I ususally play are Arcane archers that use mega magic arrow skills to take down enemies fast at the expense of my Mana pot collection. :P I didnt really get into the Ranger in guildwars but I think the Ranger in Aion will be extramly exciting and I cant wait to play it

I am going to be archer also, but so far I didnt see archer as truly dd. I mean - in most of pvp videos nukers or glad are dealing massive damage based on skills, archer are rather poor... Lesson from L2?
Other thing is that they were lowbies and propably unbuffed.

And btw: do u think that Aion ranger will be L2 type (crit bufs & normal hits) or rather GW type (skill based) ?

Probably the ladder, tbh, the rangers in Aion vids look gimp as hell.

i most likely going to be a ranger in aion because i usually always go ranger. as for the bad at pvp, if theyre anything like WoWs hunter, i rember i used to kick ***. but even if they are unbalanced atm, theyd definatly fix it before release

I'm going to be going Ranger. I like how you're able to balance melee and bow work though. I do have to say that the Ranger class hasn't really been well represented in vids.

I most likely will. If not, I'll probably choose assassin, which isn't far off at all. Just more focus on close combat.

Though I am really eager and excited to at least -try- playing a ranger, as in Guild Wars I reeeeally hated not being able to move while attacking, whereas in Aion, you have total freedom of movement.

Not total. U are forced to stop when u r using skill. If buffed ranger will have enough high basic damage and good crit chance (strong raw power ) his offensive skills wont be necessary during pvp. It means great advantage - he can hit&run all time!

Yah, I usually play a ranged class so I'll definitely be giving Ranger a shot. Question, since they are scouts, do rangers get stealth too?

Seems like the ability to stealth and also damage from range could get OP pretty quickly... *evil grin*

Yes, Rangers apparently do have stealth too, but they're not as based-around it as the Assassin, of course.

As long as ammo isn't as inventory-and-money intensive as it was in the early days of FFXI, I'll probably try it out.
