Rangers weapons

Do we know if rangers can use all regular close range weapons. (Swords, Pole arms, and Small Dagers) that the warriors and other scouts can use?

As far as I'm aware rangers can use Dual swords and bow, though I think with the use of stigma you can customize so you're able to use any weapon you like. How efficient that is I don't know.

Yea, All the videos so far show Rangers with their bow, and dual wielding 2 daggers/swords. I highly doubt we will be limited to the dual wielding as well, most likely as Dez said it, through the Stigma system.

Im guessing you should pick your weapons after its stats anyway so why bother with 1x2h weapon when u could have 2x1h weapons

2x1h - double chance to miss, does less dmg, $ 2x as much.

huh? this is a discussion about Aion right? half of what you say is unconfirmed and sounds more like WoW, yet you speak as though this is how it's going to be in Aion, particularly the part about "double chance to miss". please don't spread misinformation. in most MMO's, dual wielding does more damage/dps. and if they are drops, they are free. and even if they cost money, it's possible the off-hand will be discounted. site your source on the absolute statements above. me? i don't have to site anything. cause i use words like "if", "most", and "possible" because the final product is NOT FINISHED!

Or it could be that 2 1h weapons of lower grade combine to make a dual weapon of a higher grade, its also twice the chance to crit, twice the amount of crits, which will still equal the same as a 1h weapon, and if a slower weapon misses its a lot more noticeable than 1 out of 2 dual swords missing.

Your post makes no sense, reminds me of the people in games who are like This big axe is way better than that sword..it does more damage (even though the sword does more DPS because it attacks faster)

As for 2h or 2x 1h i made my statement entirely based from my wow experience where you do not go melee unless you haveto, therefor stats is whats important on your melee weapon. But Aion seems to focus on range AND melee so i can see good things in using a 2h, spike dmg that comes with a big axe or a sword could be just the thing that can change the flow in a duel.
But i want to be Legolas and go dualwield with two swords so no Gimli axe for me.
